SAT/ACT scores?

1500 even. and a 33. lmfao.... i was baked at the SATs...not the best move. Im gonna be taking them again this fall to get like a 1900-2100

 

Unless you're heavily recruited for basketball by one of these schools (you should already be on ESPNs top 100 HS prospects by sophmore year), you won't get in via basketball. For Duke, you'll need more in the 2100+ range. I got a 2230 the first time I took it with little preparation (took 4 practice tests). Studying vocab is an easy way to improve. Picking up a math tutor if you aren't good at that works too.

 

i think I read my SAT scores wrong. I remember thinking I got a 1400 or something like that but I know that I did fairly well on them even though I'm not worried about it.

31 on the ACT

I'm in college now so it doesn't really matter haha

 

I was being scouted by many universities during my junior and senior year, But I think I'm commiting to UCLA. And to be honest I was on the bench my sophmore year :S. When junior year came around is when I started to take it really serious and that's when I had really big games. And 2230 is a really good good score!

 

Haha nice ^_^ A 33 on the ACT is roughly a 2000-2100 on the SAT, so you should do better your second time around!

 

22 on my ACT after 3 tries i made 22 everytime. I wasn't happy with it, but i guess i blame myself.

 

Just do some more studying man, more practice tests, or attend tutoring session's. I guarantee a better score if you take my advice on this.

 

Never took the ACTs. I got a 1670 on my SATs though :S

 

3 times on the ACT, 28, 31, 32. Kept improving

 

Last year I did the SAT for one of those talented youth programs. Got 1720, which is kinda sucky, but I'm only 13.

 

That actually isn't bad. I thought I did terrible with my 1670 but I got into every college I applied to :laugh:

 

Although I don't like, nor do I support the SATs, I got a 2230 on them. The essays are graded almost solely on how much you write. So write a lot, for those of you who will be taking it soon.

I don't understand how you guys got so high on the ACT. I personally thought that 24 was good..

 

I took the ACT for the first time in the 9th grade. Made a 25.
Took it again my 10th grade year and made a 29.
11th grade, a 30.
Senior year, a 34.

I'm in my freshman year of college now, so it doesn't matter any more. I got a full ride and am getting paid to go to college. Quite legit.

 

The average ACT (according to collegeboard) for duke is 30-34
Average for UCLA is 25-31.

You have a good chance to be accepted to both (im assuming your gpa is good.) Duke is a little bit of a reach but UCLA is a match. And basketball is very big in both of those schools. Getting a basketball scholarship at one of them is slim to none. I'm not trying to burst your bubble but all the players have been recruited heavily since sophmore year.

 

The coach actually called me, and I'm COMMITTED to UCLA as of now. (Full ride basketball scholarship with about a 4.13 cumulative GPA.) And I started getting scouted my junior year but alot of people from my highschool went to go on to play college basketball or either JUCO.

 

Damn nice. That's one of the highest score's I've seen so far. :love:

 

24 actually isn't that bad. It's around a 1600 SAT which can get you into alot of match universities if you have good community service+gpa+extracurriculars.
