Luring, does it work anymore?

Youre being ignorant. People need to understand that luring is in fact legal, its not scamming, its tricking someone who is unintelligent. Most lures are completely noticeable and take an imbecile to fall for, and if they do fall for it, they deserve to get their items taken.

You both should stop hating on eachother.. It is agreed that botting is a steady X amount of income over X amount of hours.. But if you have a successful lure you can make HUGE amounts of profit in X amount of time.

It just depends on what your best at..

IMO I would recommend botting a staker and making HUGE profits in no time at all.

The real question here is, do you know how to lure? Luring works if you know how to do it, if you don't know how to do it it won't work. Simple as that. Practice makes perfect.

 

Luring isn't scamming, please stfu if you don't have a clue about luring "dropping pl8s". Also, don't even bother telling me I don't know how to lure, I've created my own method for f2p. I suggest you learn how the game works and if you think botting is better than luring, your clearly a fucking retard. If you don't believe me about the method, check my threads. Plus botting ruined the fun of the game, luring makes people smarter and to not easily trust someone (thus teaching them a valuable lesson).

 

Alright, I'll tell you the difference.

Player A: Hello, I would like to buy 100m for 50$. Can you do this?
Player B: Yes, I can, I have 100m. Please send me the money and I will give you the gold.
Player A: Here you go, here is the money
Player B is offline.
Player A: Oh no, someone malicious just stole my real life money that I was using to exchange for real life items.

VERSUS

Player B: Hello, can you teleport me to Lunar Island?
Player A: Yes, I can, here you go
Player B: Oh look, a warning screen that says I might be tele'd to the wilderness. It asks if I really want to go. May as well say yes.
Player B: Oh no, I died and lost my runescape items to someone in the game.

At best, Player A robs Player B of time in the second scenario. How about we take this to a real life standpoint. But I know you're probably not going to think much about it.

Person 1 - Hello, I would like to purchase your service for 200$.
Player 2 - Can I take the 200$ up front, so that I can do this over time?
Person 1 - Okay, here you go.
Person 2 does not do task, and has scammed Person 1 out of his money.

VERSUS

Person 1 - Hello, would you like to come over to my house for a sexual encounter?
Person 2 - Yes, perhaps I would. Although I don't know your name, and you seem very suspicious.
Person 1 - Let us go.
Person 2 gets raped/killed.

In the first scenario for both Runescape and for real life, if it seems to good to be true, it probably is. For every single way to get into the wilderness, there is a warning sign. If you deactivate this warning sign, that is your own problem. If someone advertises a drop party in the wilderness, then it's a lure. Because there are so many other places you could have a drop party. Selling an item or a service comes with its own risk, but there seems to be more good out of it. There are warnings for places that you can lose your items. Even in dangerous clan wars. It says "you can lose your items". If you really ignore that, you deserve to lose your items.

Scamming is luring. But luring isn't scamming.

A scam is to lure someone into believing you will do something but not do it.
A lure is to bring someone to an event that could potentially be harmful.

 

It's nowhere near as profitable as before.
the only kinda lure that works is a wildy lure or clan wars lure. Any kinda PVM lure is impossible now, because of gravestones + items kept on death.
Luring has become fucking hard now >.<

Most "lures" these days are really just people bsing their luring partners

 

Wow, this should be written into a guide. You basically nailed the whole scenario in one post.

I do know a few lures that work but usually some of them die out or you might get "anti" lured most of the time now. Even your partner will backstab you (have seen so many of those)

Most older lures didn't allow you to know that you were going into a dangerious place. Also there are still a few methods of doing this around where they are not warned of the danger.

also we're kind of beating a dead horse on this subject everything that can be said about it pretty much has and it's not even ot so lets drop it? anything else that can be added is purely your own ideals.

 

Luring still works but, isn't as easy as before. You need A TON of patience nowadays until you find some dumb-fuck who slips even when he's warned countless times that he's in a dangerous area and will lose items if he dies.
