None taken. But I don't see why you should make such a strong decision on me and my thread just because of when I joined. I mean come on, no offense to you either but that's just pathetic. I lurked for a good year at least before I joined, and have played my fair share of Runescape, as I stated beforehand, I have played for a good 6-7 years. Also, do you really think I'm so much of a retard that I would just take a picture of some thread and post it without reading it? No. I read it and found it weird, compelling and thought it would be nice if I shared it with th community because even if it is trolling, you must admit it is a rather 'large' troll to pull. Oh, and if you want to play games about my join date, 'Imho' do you not feel that after 6 and a half years you should have JUST A FEW more posts? Only food for thought, bro.

That's true, but I bet they'd lose at least 1/3 of they're members. With 1/3 of their members gone the economy and game would go to shit. People would only buy so much, and the game would become boring cause everyone would have max cash and Torva.

 

They will need 10k+ votes before they even consider doing this... JaGex has taken a firm stand against this sort of stuff (for legal reasons I'm assuming). On the other hand, with JaGex' recent updates regarding inviting friends for bonus exp and the Katana, I wouldn't put it past them...

 

Wtf Jag, Don't see them doing this because it would ruin the game tbh. But Jagex loves ruining their games so who knows.

 

I seriously dont think jagex would even CONSIDER doing this. I mean, I've thought about them doing it for a while, but I don't think they will get this weak.

People seem to be very blind.

If you have seen the video where there are thousands of bots all over Runescape and how people believe Runescape is dying, what better than to open a cash-for-items program.

But wait, before you're like "ITS GUNNA KILL DA EECONOHMEE", think about it this way.

The items that bots produce help inflate the economy. They produce items that are worth money, and the only way to get rid of that is by losing it. More items are brought into the game than lost. The only way you could really get rid of them is either by alching them (which doesn't really get rid of them), destroying them, eating them (for food/drinks), or dropping them. So people like Chessy who have billions and billions, they hoarde their money. They invest and hoarde it and make even more.

Now, these gold farmers, they inflate the prices of items in the game, but not IRL.

So if Jagex were to hire people to gold farm for them (and pay a decent wage), they could put competition against gold farmers and quite possibly put them out of business. The problem is, is that you can't be too certain whether this competition will make people lower their prices. Because gold farming is essentially illegal, I don't see why they don't just file lawsuits against gold farmers.

They made the claim that gold farmers were using stolen credit cards and that they were losing money on the game. But it seems that botting is more frequent and there would be instances of credit card fraud for Runescape now more than ever.

Still it would be sad they did make a vote just like they did with free trade. Of course though I don't think Jagex is that low...or are they?

 

If Jagex ever decided to implement this it, RS would die within the next 6 months -_-
