Why do Irl Male gamers choose to be female in games?

I've never had the urge to play as a girl on Runescape, and am confused yet curiously optimistic as to why guys do it?

Want to hear peoples opinions....

Some nerds used to get Gf's on RS. They would then give them free stuff. So i'd be a female for free stuff. haha

 

Eh they are just messing around. It's stupid tbh though. Possible because they can't get a girl so they want to become one or they just like the female character. It's kinda creepy though you don't know who is behind that screen x.x

 

My little brother is a girl in RS, he gets free mills all the time from high level players that are his "boyfriends"

 

Different reasons.. Ive been a female a couple of times, for like a week usually. Mainly, because nobody likes being dropped by a female.

In tha older days, people would actually get married, lol. So, tha female usualy would recieve gifts.

Some people also choose to be a female, just to make friends.

 

Most of my accounts are female. I kind of like the way the female runescape character looks.

 

Mostly because of the free stuff reasons listed above, but I know a kid who makes girl characters in WoW because they have more "finesse".

 

I don't really know why.

I've never been a female on rs before.

I do remember my friend in 5th grade changing into a girl and getting like 2 santa's from some guy who wanted to be his "gf".

To get free money off people, lol. Partyhats looks way better on girl chars, IMO.

 

ranger boots looks better on girls this is why i used to be girl when i was pure.

 

Because they have a secret underlying genital malformation..... or because they want free stuff

 

I've only changed my main character to a female for gaining purposes.

Basically, for example, I'll go dungeoneering, and if someone finds a shadow silk hood, they'll give it to a female first. I've seen it happen many times when going with random groups.

 

To let them get free money, lol, beg and since your a girl the guys will be like alright im nice lol

 

The character is just a character. They could be doing it just for fun.
On the other hand, when males actually act like they're female.. that's a different story.
Kinda worried that they're going to go through with a procedure in the future..

Only time I've ever been a girl is for that one quest.

 

Lol, that's how my friend got his hood. I can tell if its a girl with a dick a mile away by the way they type.

 

I have a couple friends who do the opposite(females but play as males) simply because they hate how females are portrayed ingame. I kind of agree about that, but that's not enough to make me want to change over...ew.

 

Because skirts are cheaper afcourse!
