I'm American, and I think American's suck too. Most American's are just normal people, but all the world sees are the celebrities and attention whore rednecks, so they think all of the USA is like that.

 

How the hell do you compare 2 countries.
They're completely different, why compare?

There not really that much different... Plus I think its the point of the thread?.. Such as England is better than america because we have a National Health Service..

 

Americans aren't a race, neither are brits.

I'm Canadian, I think people get the wrong idea about Americans, Most of them are nice people, but the stuff you hear about, or the stuff you see on TV, is exploiting all the bad things, TV never shows anything positive. Their are crazy people in Canada, their are crazy people in the UK. Americans just get the tail end of it all.

 

Not only that but the government makes dumb moves which is also what makes people think they way they do.

When's the last time we heard of Canadian or British government crisis?

Like it's been said, there's no intelligent discussion to be had with this topic. Anyone who's American is going to google fallacies within the British culture and vice versa with anyone from the UK. Or they'll forego the searching (too hard of work for some, it's understandable) and will begin to throw out stereo types such as "bad teeth" or "obese population" and use that as support for their answer as to which country is better.

 

Honestly, I live in Canada, and I find most Canadians to be complete assholes generally, and whenever I visit the States people are actually pretty friendly for the most part. All the shit about Americans all being fat, rednecks is really just complete shit and stereotypes. I can't really comment on British people, since I've only met a handful of them in my life, and I've never been to Britain.

 

I have no problem with the UK except that they stereotype people in the US horribly, im not morbidly obese, im not arrogant, im not on steroids, and im not dopey. And im an average person.

This is a highly cretinous thread. I don't seem to understand how this is banter. Insulting and stereotyping people within a country is far from banter. Britain's population is becoming increasingly obese, I just thought you should know that.

Yea that's true, I watch a lot of Top Gear(UK) and they're always making fun of Americans, which I do find it entertaining though, specially when they do the shows here in the US.

Why call us steroided freaks? First off, steroids are a good thing (i know) and second who cares, its a few peoples personal choices.

But for me, we all pretty much are cool people, except yall have the cool accents.
