Staker question.

I currently have a staker with these stat's.

20 Attack (quested)
71 Str
1 Def
85 HP
78 Range
32 Mage (I might start to use gatestone botting to get this up)
1 Prayer
1 Summoning

I'm wondering if I should continue to just level Range and HP or also add some defence. A friend of mine said he's made over 400m on his range tank staker, his stats are like 81 range 79 def and 80 or so hp. He stakes between 2-20m

 

Kinda off topic, but Gatestone botting has a high ban rate =/

 

Must have happened just recently. 81 to 99 mage on my main through gatestone botting.

 

There was like a banning spree last week or something.
anyway i don't know much about Staking, so i can't really help you

 

My friend was telling me to get 20 def and just throw corrupt morrigans top, statius helm and legs on with a mith kite while using dragon bolt (e)'s + morrigans axes/javs for the duels.

 

No def = dead meat in duelly. Try to get controlled stats.

 

I would get def if I was you.

 

Ok if I get defence up what should I get it to? 20? 70? 75? 78? If I get defence up CKS will be my first chaotic.

 

Only good staking is mage boxing and maxed melee boxing.
Get maxed melee.
