You asked me to rate it, I rated it. No need to get mad. You never mentioned a price either. From a place like NewEgg, properly put together, this would run about $1k give or take a hundred bucks or so. How was I supposed to know you "know someone who owns a PC whole sale shop" lol? And tbh $500 seems too good to be true, sounds like BS to me.

1TB HD isn't anything special, I bought mine for $35 on sale from NewEgg.

GTX 550 Ti is basically a rebranded 460 lol. My 480 will womp on it all day long. This does not make it a "gaming" PC. 550 Ti's are like $110-150 max, they are nowhere near high end and certainly nowhere close to enthusiast. I guarantee you get like sub-40 FPS on most all new games @ highest settings w/ 8x AA etc. 1GB GDDR5? that's not even really enough VRAM for 1080p gaming, and leaves ZERO room to expand to double or triple screen gaming. I seriously don't mean to come off as an arrogant asshole.. sorry if I do, just explaining everything for you lawl

Also lolwat. You can't overclock the 2600. At least not enough for it to be worth it. You can OC it like 400MHz lol.. 3.8GHz may seem like a lot now, but those extra MHz never hurt. I'm at 4.2GHz and plenty of headroom to get up to 5GHz if I wanted to. Your computing needs WILL eventually go up, it's just a matter of time. The 2600k is like $15 more expensive than the 2600, so it makes absolutely no sense to go with the 2600. With the Z68 chipset, you can overclock and enjoy the iGPU. The 2600 is a rip off when you can pay essentially the same exact price and have more features and if there is such a thing as "future proofing", then it opens up that door as well. Not to mention some of the technologies only offered on Z68 like SRT.

Very nice RAM for botting, you'd get 10 bots in with Less CPU mode. I will consider buying more RAM for my computer.

FYI. The parts where brought at 'cost'. so the price it costs to make them.
And the processor is 2600k , I don't know why it doesnt say it on the Windows thingy.

And I'm able to get 70fps in 3D on Black ops , and 90-110 depending on normal...

I would suggest staying on 32 bit if your going to use it for botting or gaming.

The 480 might have better power as a GPU, but I'm pretty sure a 550 Ti uses much less of your computer's resources, granted it does have less graphical output than the 480. He also just said he has the 2600k and it didn't display.

I also thought I heard somewhere that you can manually OC a normal 2600. I'm not positive though.

I am pretty sure it is not a 2600k. I have a 2500k and it displays the 'K' at the end. Also, wholesale =/= the cost to make the item. If items were sold in wholesale at the price it costs to produce them, there would be no profit for the manufacturer. I still call BS on the prices, but if I'm wrong I'll accept it after seeing some sort of proof.

Black Ops is like the least demanding newish game on the market. None of the COD franchise have ever been graphics hungry in the least. I also doubt you're playing maxed out with that FPS unless you've got like a 50% OC or only at like 1280x1024 lol

What? What do you mean it uses less of the computer's resources? If you mean power draw, then yes obviously the 480 is a monster when it comes to that. If you're saying the GPU somehow taxes the other components, I'm not sure what makes you think that.. The point is the 550 Ti is nothing more than a rebranded GTX 460, which he'd have to SLI to get any real performance out of. They also don't support tri/quad SLI as far as I know which means he'd max out at about the output of a 580, which won't last that long especially with only 1GB vram.

Also no you can't really manually OC a 2600. You can change some settings and squeeze like 400MHz out of it but it's not very safe/good for your computer. Unless some breakthrough method has been released the only way I know of doing it is messing with the BCLK.

Yeah, I did mean power draw, I'm not a computer terminology/usage expert, I just built my first computer recently.

I just thought you could manually OC a 2600 a fair bit, I guess not though.

Just because I thought your build sucked does not mean I was trolling you. Anybody can say they know a guy.. You can't really expect me to believe you got roughly $1k worth of parts for $500 without any proof, especially since you're obviously on a mission to prove that your build doesn't suck at any cost (lrn2constructivecriticism)

Also, since you get your panties in such a bunch over people mentioning the 32-bit, don't you think you possibly should have waited until you got 64-bit? It doesn't really matter what excuse you gave in the OP, it made you look like a retard for using 8GB RAM with 32-bit Windows. That's not our fault, so tone the rage down perhaps?

You still never posted any pics of the actual build. I bet it's a freaking mess, unless the guy who sold you the parts was the one who put it together.

You asked for a rate, we rated it, don't complain.

the 550ti is a capable card, although it's in between the 460 and 560(non ti, the 560 is a rebranded 460 Ivy)
1gig vram is fine for 1080p gaming. You only need more then 1gig if you're running 1440p/1600p/eyefinity/nvidia surrond.

personally I would have went with the 2500k, spent the extra money on getting a 560ti.
