Wanting computer surround sound. Help?

Wanting a surround sound with extremely good bass, spending up to 60 dollars. I know it's cheap, but try to help me out? Post links ect!

I currently own Logitech Z-5 speakers. Its like a downgrade of what Arashi suggested and yet mine is pretty booming and loud (also have Realtek HD sound card which enhances it). So yeah those would be pretty good. I'll see what else I can find for you. I always was a fan of Logitech.

 

You will love it, the sound is perfectly clear and the surround is just boss.

Amazon has it for only $57, check the reviews out.

 

search eBay for "Computer Subwoofer" and you'll find a whole array of surround sound assortments for like $40.

try to find one with a built-in amplifier..it'll make it better.

Logitech sells a nice 4.1 surround system. 4 speakers and a sub. It's under 100, but I don't remember specifically what it's price was. You wouldn't need a sound card for something like that. Usually it's just a 3.5mm from your pc to the amp which then splits off into different speakers.

Unless you're looking for a higher quality.

Well, this is a nice one because it has RCA out which would be good for a stereo system.

But it all depends on how many ports you think you'll need and what type. That is an expensive card.

 

To be honest, you won't get very good speakers for $60. There are some okay 2.1 sets for around that much, but I highly doubt you'll find a set of 5.1s worth having at that price.

Sound cards can get pretty expensive. If you've got some really nice speakers you might be looking at dropping $100+ on just the sound card.. and yes it makes a massive difference in the performance of high end speaker systems.

^my room setup is pretty much pointless for anything above 2.1

Not top of the line or anything but for the small amount more money they're going to make me much happier in the long run.. I think of it as an investment. But then again, I'm hyper-critical of sound quality XD

 

I really like the ones you are saving up for, too! Hmm.. Idk, I am buying a iPhone 4 this week , it takes 150 dollars from me.. Then I get around 500 for birthday, and I may sell 200m RSGP for another 125 or 100. So 600 dollars.. I want a cheap laptop or an ipad, not sure... Also a computer surround. Ughhh. Money money money...

 

Tbh if you can swing it, go big. Once you hear the superior sound quality offered by some of the higher end speaker systems it really is hard to go back gl with whatever you choose to do though.
