Mod Mat K Comments on RuneScape's State

Jagex does stop botters (or at least try to ) but there are too many bots for them to run. There are countless gold farms on Sythe alone, let alone all the Asian sweat shops making all the bots.

Anyway, I gathered up a few pics about a comment made by Mod Mat K about RuneScape and their plans for the future and what's going on at the moment. I found it mildly interesting. You may have already seen it. Some people take it as bullshit, and some take it as if it were their idol, and some people say, "duh, tl;dr". Personally, I thought that Jagex isn't as shitty as I thought. For one, at least they admitted they needed money, but then they defend themselves as saying that this money goes into improving the game.

I'm only looking for thoughts on what you think about the honesty and trustworthiness of this post. Is it the truth? Is it shit that Jagex made up? Did it change your impression?

I read this on the Runescape forums. It is at least good to see that Jagex is addressing the community for once, but It's sad that it took over 2500 people saying "No!" to their new update for them to do so.

 

I won't believe anything til they start showing actions to prove otherwise.

 

It would be nice to believe that, but it sounds like corporate spiel.

All those problems? Yeah, they've got it all under control. No need to worry, we can't tell you what we're doing but keep paying us membership until we "fix" it.

It's the same old generic J-Mod post, just in different words.

Nothing will be done.

 

It's kind of nice to see a jagex mod actually attempt to be honest and give us some direct answers instead of avoiding it and actually admitting they have to make money to put money back in instead of always ranting on about how the players come first.

 

Those are my thoughts. They said they had a few things they couldn't tell us at the moment. They also state when they do tell us, we'll understand why and go, "ohhhhh...."

I'd like to hear those things.

Glad someone posted this cause i don't use runescape forums.

 

They probably will try to do something, but bots are too advanced and many for them to stop.
