Safety Sally. I'm about to order an X-18 Mid Bike just for fun and she thinks I'm going to kill myself. She says she will be very mad if I order it before getting her an engagement ring. I thoroughly informed her that she needs to get her priorities in line and my mid bike is crucial to my survival. How can I actually reason with her for this one?

The ring part was sort of a joke. She think's I'm going to get hurt, as if that would be the most dangerous thing I drive. No I'm not engaged. She's anti-motorcycles or anything with less than 4 wheels.

Well, first off, this belongs in the Personal Support forum, I believe.

And second off, why listen to her? I'd still buy it. It's not like she's going to dump you if she does, if she was to, she wouldn't care if you were to get it or not. The fact that she cares about you "dying" shows that she cares enough for you to not dump you over something stupid. In all honesty, if you want it, get it but don't shove it in her face when not necessary. Such as, don't pick her up in it everyday just to piss her off. Drive a car or something she likes but, when shes not around, go have a ride in it.

Not trying to be helpfull this is what I would say: Are you an idiot? Why would you put a bike before her. That's stupid. If she asks you not to do something because it's dangerous, listen to her.
She evidently cares about you, and if you cared about her you would spend the money on something for her rather than being greedy.
