When spammers who joined this month are active members.. while I have been on Sythe for 4 years and I just got "forum addict"

Posting alot =/= spamming, its just a matter of how active you are.

 

Not necessarily spammers, most of the time they will give useful and helpful posts. Not just posting to get their post count up.

I can bet that 99% of those newcomers who beat me were just posting random offers and screwing around.

Yeah, I didn't post very often till around this year. The Sythe community is fun to participate in, so I don't blame the new members for posting so often.

 

I resent that. I'm just pretty active, and am on everyday.

 

What about people who joined 8 months ago who are Grand Masters?

Most new active people who have a prolonged stay on Sythe generally accumulate their posts in the Market section. Cool cats like me do it in the Off-Topic.

 

A lot of people post already mentioned things, or unnecessary comments, so that does happen a lot. The quality of the posts just aren't really there anymore.

I agree with you, but some people are just not active; and it depends on where you normally post. Some people who are constantly buying/selling would have a higher post count, sometimes it may be spam, but others may differ. So in the end, there are some that post useless comments, some are inactive and others may have different intentions with their posts.

 

Actually, believe it or not, most marketers do not get their posts in the market..

 

Join date doesn't matter. It's all about activity. I've seen people who joined in 2005 with 30 posts because they hardly come on, yet im in the markets for hours per day, so I have a decent amount of posts/vouches for only 3 months.

 

Just because you don't care about the community enough to use it alot, doesn't make people like me spammers. I've gotten 4 infractions in 2 months, which on the site isn't bad, seeing as I have filed over 100 spam reports against other people, and spamming can be anything basically on here.

People don't necessarily spam, they just like posting. I usually just lurk, hence my low post count.

Some people are social and like to have discussions while others don't really care. Along with that, it seems like you aren't as active as the new members, that's the number one reasoning as to why you have lower post counts.

 

Yeah I know some people lurk, some people post without any insight in their comments though.
