    Mac or Windows?

From another thread I posted on:

The Windows side as most people have pointed out is that they are a LOT less expensive for the same performance (due to all of the competition and customization), as well as the fact that most games are Windows compatible (not Mac).

Not to mention that a custom desktop is infinitely more upgradable than a Mac... You can't just toss a new processor or graphics card in the Mac...

As a few others have said... A mac can be used to run bots. Bots run off of javascript, a (supposedly) universal language across all operating systems.

However... If you want to have those astonishing graphics on any new games (BF3 and MW3)... You best buy Windows.

PS. I have used both Windows & Mac... Went from Windows -> Mac and then back to Windows.

    Mac or Windows?

You pay for the name, and NOTHING more.
Mac is really not MAC OS, it is BSD. Which, is free.
You're better off buying the same parts you'd get from Apple, assembling, and buying a case you yourself can mod, and put Open/FreeBSD on it.
You'll learn so much about the computer that way.
Also, if your family really wants a mac, buy a bigger HDD and put a Hackintosh on a partition.

    Mac or Windows?

Just get a mac, on a mac you can run any operating system you want but A PC can only run Windows and Linux, and I have many macs if you want them to be upgraded bring it to the apple store with the part and they do it for free, and bots also run better and faster on macs because Mac OS X handles its ram differently than windows

and another thing, I have an apple ibook clamshell from 1999 and until the recent java upgrade Jagex did I could STILL play runescape on it with slight lag, macs last a long time

    Mac or Windows?

Yeah I agree with some of you. If you are going to use your computer for gaming I would go for a PC.

Mac's are more userfriendly, long battery lasting, great design etc. You don't need that for gaming :)

    Mac or Windows?

If you can easily afford an iMac, then I believe it might be wise to get. After all, you can always install Windows on it.

I know, but you pay a shitload for the Mac design. I personally love mac, but if you're going for a good gaming/botting pc, Mac is just not the right one for you.

I have used a mac before.

For the price, it ain't worth it. The design is nice, but apart from that, nothing else really gives it the edge.

The battery life may be large, but I am sure you can replace batteries in other laptops (or even netbooks) to get longer life.

The specs are average. For a very good laptop at the same price, you could probably double the specs it has.

The OS... don't get me started :p

I personally prefer Windows, But Macs are excellent too.. You're just paying a lot more for them. Only time I'd buy a Mac is if I got into DJ'ing.

The only apple products I own or would ever own are the Ipod and the Ipad. Other than that, it's PC all the way.

    Mac or Windows?

PC, Mac is too overpriced and I honestly am much more comfortable with Windows products.

    Mac or Windows?

You can't beat the performance/cost ratio of a Windows PC.

    Also, pic related.
