What is happening to runescape?

People having one bot each is not really much of a problem, but gold farms are. They are just greedy, and ruin the game for legit players, and also small time botters, who don't bot exclusively to earn money.

With the increasing amount of gold farms, the in game market is getting more and more inflated, and also the price of rsgp is decreasing. Nexus made the right move with 1 auth per bot in my opinion.

Runescape is dieing, and jagex just cares about money I cant see them take real action.

 

Do you guys really think they are going to let it die? or do you think they have something up their sleeves for runefest? Maybe some anti-botting solution?

Yah and bots could solve those captchas

 

Just did some research on captchas, it is possible for bots to eventually solve captchas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAPTCHA#Computer_character_recognition). It may take some time but it would be possible. On that note I believe runescape is beyond saving, and it is pointless being a part of a runescape community any longer. So cya guys i'm of to play some team fortress 2. And when it guild wars 2 comes out, i'll probably play that as my replacement for rs.

 

They should take out bots, but you cant. They would destroy themselves, everone bots.

 

They had already planned to bring it back before they announced it.

 

In my opinion, people botting for skills are fine, but, when the botters are doing it for money, its a problem. Yew trees are full of people doing it for money, not experience. Ivy is usually quite empty due to no monetary gain.

 

Jagex is realizing how screwed Runescape really is and they are trying to get a much money as then can before most of the people quit.

 

It's crazy really, the botting community is so vast.. It will be almost impossible for them to stop though. Well, without spending a hell of a lot of money on preventing it.

Bots are what make RuneScape (RuneScape).

 

I actually have never botted for the money. I only botted to raise my skills up without actually doing it myself. Bots have taken over Runescape and in a matter of time it will completely ruin it even if Jagex is too stupid to care about it right now and basically they won't admit it that they don't have a detection system and they just want money. F2p though is completely fucked with spammers and bots. P2p is still not as bad but who knows how long that will last. Even p2p starting to have a mass load of bots everywhere mostly from big gold seller companies which really ruin the game for others who only care about raising their skills, playing the game and not for the money.

How the hell did this get nominated f2p game of the year I would love to know. Probably Jagex paid them to get noticed. They do not deserve it this time.

I am pretty relieved I quit because this time I no for sure I won't be going back with what has happened to the game over the past few years.
