    What does this dream mean?

Ok well I woke up early today, after about an hour i decided to go lay down and sleep for a little longer, I slept for 5 more hours and throughout that 5 hours I had a really scary dream.

In my dream I was in a mansion with some people I didn't know. I guess all of a sudden michael myers was there. Throughout the entire night we were just running through the mansion trying to hide and trying to escape. Everytime I managed to find a hiding spot he would find me and I would narrowly escape. It was in a way kind of fun because it was like a giant game of hide and seek, and I ran so freaking fast it made me feel pretty awesome, but at the same time I was so terrified because michael myers was chasing me. And also while he would be chasing me he would crack jokes at me in this very evil mean voice, which is strange because michael myers doesn't have a voice. Finally near the end of the dream I run down stairs which is like 4 flights of stairs down, I see a guy walking around in a monkey mask asking where all the candles are. I just walked passed him and then he starts asking where elton john is. I see michael on the top staircase, there is like an opening with a banister and stuff, he says "Why don't you come up here monkey man so i can show you" is this very creepy voice. Then I pick up this wooden rod thats on the ground and i run towards the door, problem is michael is getting ready to jump down so I either have to trust myself that I can break down the door in time, or run and hide from michael again, as he is about to jump down I start running away, and then I wake up.

Why would I have a dream like this, what does it mean?

    What does this dream mean?

Any recent events that could somehow have some sort of relation with this dream?

I don't know. It really doesn't make sense. Perhaps it's just another random dream?

    What does this dream mean?

Usually when I have scary dreams, it's either I watched a scary movie before bed and that was the last thing on my mind before bed or something was troubling me before I went to bed. Mostly it's just whatever was on your mind before you went to bed, or it's just me.

Susually dreams have a meaning in this case.
they are cracking jokes at you might be in your social life
where people used to make fun of you or whatever.
the mansion is a huge place, so this might show its a big problem>
not knowing where to go in the mansion and running away
to find somewhere to go means you cannot hide/forget about things
in life that are stopping you. I dont know im just guessing.

You should try this thread: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1207242

It sounds like your average nightmate. Waking up when it's time to wake up, then falling back asleep for hours really messes with your sleeping cycle. This could have caused the bad dream. Also, lack of sleep may cause bad dreams as well.

    What does this dream mean?

No one can give an objective answer on this really, there are a multitude of theories that have been proposed to explain dream theory.

    Personally:

I think that you are currently going through harder times than usual, perhaps more stressful, but certainly a deviation from normal. In our Normal Waking Consciousness, our thoughts tend to be ordered, logical, and have a general purpose. In an Altered State, dreams, hallucinations our thoughts tend to be unordered, illogical, and people cannot agree on an objective purpose.

In conjunction with the above, in our Consciousness, we typically suppress troubled thoughts, and we do so successfully for the most part due to our control over our brain. However, when we enter the altered states, dreaming, we have less of a control. Because of this, perhaps suppressed emotions and feelings have been let out to roam in your brain and trigger certain neural connections which in turn trigger our brain to bring order to disorder in the form of a dream. Conversely, these dreams resemble no order really, hence you can do anything!

Essentially, nightmare dreams don't really mean anything. Perhaps it may be your bodies natural defense mechanism, or, perhaps some other explanations may be available.

Don't worry about it, it doesn't mean anything other than the fact that you've weathered some rough seas.

    What does this dream mean?

    Here's my theory:

Human beings naturally tend to have phenomenal dreams where they see these unknown-random characters they have never seen before. A mild schizophrenic activity occurs, and these 'figures' are suppose to symbolize how you see yourself.

Your dream could be analyzing that you're unsure about the future, and scared in a sense. But I'm not one to tell. That's just my theory.

Nightmare. Did you watch a scary movie the previous night involving Michael Myers?

    What does this dream mean?

    This is my theory:

You have a problem such as a lie you told or something you did and your trying to avoid it. Everytime you hide ( try to push it off or think youve avoided it) it catches right back up to you again Thus you being found. And possibly michael myers having a voice is you trying to speak out about the problem. Now with the monkey mask and elton john your own your own .

I am probably completly wrong but it was worth a shot.

    What does this dream mean?

Hiding is generally linked to a lack of confidence with something in your life or that you are hiding from something, something you may not want to come to terms with.
