Obby Tanker? Thoughts please...

Hey guys,

Just wondering what your thoughts are on obby tankers? are they as good as they used to be?

my stats atm are 60 range/40hp/99herblore

im currently botting zeals i plan on getting 2k zeals (200 atm) then getting defence upto 70 and str as high as possible while still maintaining 1 - 5 attack

what are your thoughts guys?

 

I think 5 attack is meant to be 20% more accurate, but 1 looks way more boss.
As for being good, they do rape, but you still risk more than all pures and always outlast them, I'd get 50 att and obby-gmaul def tanker, more effective.

 

i don't think they're that good, if i were you i'd stay 1 defence, and use overloads with 1 you'd be pretty BA

 

Make a Torva Mauler.

 

Obby tankers own everything since your doing huge hits and tanking hits and you'll be fighting 1 defence pures so the low attack wont matter

I think its a great account, but to say that you have to risk a fair amount for anyone to fight you, it gets annoying.

Also you're always fighting one defs, which means they barely risk.

might get 99 ranged and stay 60ish hp im currently botting soul wars and planning on doing that for a month

 

I thought about doing the same thing.

However the cons outweigh the pros, as already stated by previous responses that you potentially risk higher then a majority of other players if you plan on PvP.

However I think they'd work great for staking.

 

A good idea for a maul tank is torag's plate/torag legs/zerkerneck and the maul and d boots. IF you don't skull you don't risk. If you have bandos/torva that's great, ive seen a level 65 obby tank hit a 375 before on a pure so there not bad at all.

 

I have a mauler and they never seem to hit often at 1 attack.

 

I'd say they're not as good as they used to be. Unless you factor range into it, but tbh if you get high range you're just going to range tank and leave the maul.

 

I used to have a 5 atk 93 str 65 def mauler with 31 prayer. Used to have alot of fun till I got DDoS'd for a bandos set kinda gave up on the idea and got 50 99 70 w/ piety and barrows gloves. Lots n Lots of fun.

 

They get repetitive after a while but their still good to pk with
