Staff Feedback

I don't think anyone doubts Finn will get the staff discourse taken care of swiftly. It's been a rough week from what I can see, but kudos to the rest of staff for keeping shit together with the yet-again slim ranks. (y)

 

We check staff backgrounds as thoroughly as we can, but there's so many things that can slip through the net. Unfortunately, it happened too many times here.

 

Verts, is there a specific vetting system in place with certain staff members assigned to different tasks? I think this would rule out the possibility of everyone thinking someone else might have already run a check.

 

Currently, we don't have a specific vetting system. It's all just common sense. However, I'm considering writing a task list that must be completed before someone gets promoted.

 

I usually run background checks directly on promo threads......I am going to re-implement that from now on

 

I think, while laborious and not necessarily all-encompassing, that system would be a great new measure Verts, especially in light of what has happened recently.

Also, asking possible moderators to come clean on anything even moderately sketchy before a background check is run might help a lot. Spyike did that to me back in the day when i was being considered.

 

Totally agree with you here mate.

I think a background check on ALL staff is now necessary, look at what has happened to the staff in the past week, from Sythe being known for the best staff of any RS black market to this...

I'm sure Finn has something in mind to sort this all out.

 

Just wanted to use this thread to say that I think n4n0 is doing a great job and that i don't think he derserves ban for what he did ages ago. Hope you make the right decision

 

Idk,I think its really bad we apparently had 5 mods and 3 omm's scam or something think the whole staff team should maybe be re-evaluated?


Edit: KARL JUST DID A SUPER GOOD JOB IN THE Report a scammer section really good job cleaning that up at first I figured you guys allow scammers so props to karl!

With whatever unfortunate events that happened the last few days I am glad the rest of the staff are doing their roles and helping Sythe out.

Thank you Karl for clearing up those scam reports I see you cleared an entire page of them. Hope it will be down to at least one page today as there are a couple that are a couple of days old.

I think it'd be better if you had moved those threads and infracted the users. That's what the other mods have been doing when I report the threads.

 

When every thread has been reported as "not a pure." If it was reported as "not a pure move to here" I would be gladly to.

And not to mention the 30+ pages of spam reports doesn't help when there are 7 in a row saying not a pure.

 

We PMed each other and sorted it out =).

My reports in that section just say "over 70 def, infract and move." I assumed that moderators should know the stickies/announcements in their section, but I understand that there are tons and tons of stickies/announcements in the market section. Now that you know though, please move the threads accordingly.

 

Just to add, when there are a lot of reports, its faster for us to close them instead of moving them.

 

I always do background checks on new moderators, and even old moderators from time to time, however Add my msn slipped through the cracks, though I can't/won't go into details as to how.

 

100% agreed with you there. I'll see what can be done.

 

I think Giverny being an admin she would be very busy but she responded to my pm very quickly so thanks.

 

Finn infracted me pretty damn quick when I confessed my love for him and offered him sexual favors.
