-How long before a test should i study?
-What study tips can i use? (i.e. smelling chocolate, ect)
-How many hours sleep should i get on the night before the test? (im 16)
-What sort of brekfast should i have in the mourning? Somthing high in sugar or carbohydrates?
-How can i calm down if i feel stressed about the test?
-If all else fails during a test, i cant remember anything i should ___?

    1. Depends on how important the test is, how much you payed attention in class, and other factors.
    2. Take out 100% distractions (RS, FB, Sythe, etc) a.k.a. your laptop, cell phone, and the like, and sit down and study.
    3. 7-8 is regular time, but depends on how important it is, and how tired you are.
    4. Oranges, something that is filling and will last through day (Sugar will just make you crash)
    5. Deep Breathes, one technique for you to try is to imagine yourself "breathing through your eyes"
    6. Have studied harder :/
    7. Cramming is a bad way to study. Plan ahead and break up the test into several parts the days before, and have 1 review session the night before.

Not sure about the other questions but the best way to remember is to condense the pages of info and write them up in key note form.

-How long before a test should i study? - You should look it through the day you know the date, and work your way up and up, until you can solidly remember it all.
-What study tips can i use? (i.e. smelling chocolate, ect) - Don't be close to a radio/TV, make sure no one bothers you, take a break every hour at least.
-How many hours sleep should i get on the night before the test? (im 16)- 8 to 10.
-What sort of brekfast should i have in the mourning? Somthing high in sugar or carbohydrates? - A healthy breakfast. Your favorite sandwiches.
-How can i calm down if i feel stressed about the test? -Think 'I've studied so hard. I knew everything yesterday, so everything will be alright today.
-If all else fails during a test, i cant remember anything i should ___? -Try re-living yesterday. If multiple choice, a gamble is better than a blank spot.
-How many hours of cramming should i do the night before? - 0, you should have studied days before, and a little more after you come home from school that day.

Before you start studying, eat a cookie or something with your parents and talk about what happened at school today.

Porridge oats and a cup of tea was my breakfast of choice. I guess sugar is ok as long as you don't over do it.

As for cramming, like mill3n said, you shouldn't need to do it however if it has worked for you in the past it could work again.

-How long before a test should i study?
You should always be reviewing even when a test isn't notified to happen. This sounds tedious and nerdy but it seriously helps you and avoids making craming the night before so painful. Taking even 15 minutes a day reviewing stuff helps a lot.
-What study tips can i use? (i.e. smelling chocolate, ect)
-How many hours sleep should i get on the night before the test? (im 16)
8 hours of sleep is the perfect amount of sleep.
-What sort of brekfast should i have in the mourning? Somthing high in sugar or carbohydrates?
-How can i calm down if i feel stressed about the test?
Studying actually calms you down. The more you know and more confident about the subject you will have that feeling you're going to great.
-If all else fails during a test, i cant remember anything i should ___?
Leave the question and comeback to it. If you actually studied it could possibly come back to you or you might find the answer in another question. Teachers tend to leave answers in other questions to help their students. If not guessing the answering and trying to salvage part marks should be your last ditch effort. Try to make sense with the answer and sometimes bullshitting actually works.
-How many hours of cramming should i do the night before?
Like said before, you need to review the days before. Studying for 1-3 hours should be all you need if you reviewed days beforehand. If you go at it for hours you will not be motivated at all and will procrastinate.

Procrastinating is the HUGE problem most kids face with poor test results. Dedication to school is key, if you're serious about school and when to succeed you have to put effort and thinking you can skate by. The atmosphere will change once you reach higher level education and you will be studying A LOT more but thats the effort you need to put into if you want to reach your goals.

Good Luck with your future studies and hopefully your marks show a significant improvement

It's all up to you, what works for me might not work for you.

I've heard something like studying 20 minutes a night for a week works, I personally study the night before, sometimes getting little to no sleep. I maintain a 4.0 or above though so it works for me.

I have other friends who don't study at all, or will glance over the information right before and do fine.

Experiment and you'll find what works best for you.

-How long before a test should i study?
Prep. about 1 week before your test (good amount of time since you've had trouble in the past).
make sure you review only test-related info.... check the criteria/talk to your teacher etc.

-What study tips can i use? (i.e. smelling chocolate, ect)
I heard smelling lavander helps improve your memory but I havent tried this one out....
Generally, stick to what you normally do.... brains tend to like routine and repitition, so if you concentrate better drinking coffee, then drink before test + study sessions.
what works for me is having a study plan..... so I know exactly what Im gonna get out of each study session....helps with concentration and time management. ...simple questions that you need to answer based on test....e.g "what's the definition of..."
its a good idea to know what your learning style is (visual/auditory/kinesthetic), coz that way you study in a way that's suited to you. some people do better by revising on the go...walking about, others by mind mapping.... theres loads of free tests and info. out there. check out www.businessballs.com or http://studystyleskills.com/home/learning-styles/learning-style-test

-How many hours sleep should i get on the night before the test? (im 16)
    at least 8 hours....

-What sort of brekfast should i have in the mourning? Somthing high in sugar or carbohydrates?
...agree with mill on this one.... eat healthy

-How can i calm down if i feel stressed about the test?
    deep breathing is good....
remember it doesnt matter,..... its just a test

-If all else fails during a test, i cant remember anything i should ?
take 1 minute....just breathe into your belly.... dont try to remember anything.... basically, when you calm yourself down by not trying to remember something, then you can access your memory easier

-How many hours of cramming should i do the night before?
not a good idea....personally I dont study the day before....you gotta do something else....physical work or exercise.

    good luck with your test!

-How long before a test should i study?
    You should have already started.

-What study tips can i use? (i.e. smelling chocolate, ect)
    Develop a study timetable.

    This will help dramatically.

-How many hours sleep should i get on the night before the test? (im 16)
    At least 10 hours.

-What sort of brekfast should i have in the mourning? Somthing high in sugar or carbohydrates?
    Caffeine is the key.

    This includes tea and coffee.

-How can i calm down if i feel stressed about the test?
    Fap.

-If all else fails during a test, i cant remember anything i should ___?
    Pray.

If that fails, make shit up.

That's how I used to pass my exams.

-How many hours of cramming should i do the night before?
    Do it in increments.

So study for 2 hours, take a 1 hour break.

Once again study for another 2 hours and then another break.

    Don't stress and good luck.

Sleep? 7 hours. Not 6, not 8, seven is more of a technological breakthrough the scientists have found to be the healthiest hours of sleep, no more no less.

Breakfast? Oat, milk, don't try anything caffeine related. Caffeine makes you go to the toilet more often, therefore distracting you on tests. Caffeine is good for night time sleep, drain out all your waste liquid before you sleep.

Balanced diet, I'd say around 7 hours sleep.

Take regular breaks while studying, say do 30 minutes, have a minute break or so, it's been scientifically proven that regular short breaks help your concentration in the long run.

Be realistic, you're not going to do 10 hours in a day of good revision.
Leave yourself plenty of time to revise, and revise in a tidy quite enviroment where you won't be disturbed by loud noise.

    Good luck

I would say rather than forcing yourself to revise, kind of surround yourself in it, it's hard to explain but basically like when learning a language, the easiest way is to live in the country that speak the language, when your surrounded by it you learn it so much quicker, so just for an example, for a maths exam, you could have certain equations or forumlae as your desktop wallpaper, practice certain calculations at a certain time every day, hope this helps :)

-How long before a test should i study?
As much free time as you can
-What study tips can i use? (i.e. smelling chocolate, ect)
Don't cram it all into one day. Study starting a week before the test if (depending on how big it is). Try to save up everything your teacher gives you. Practice good listening in class.
-How many hours sleep should i get on the night before the test? (im 16)
    At least 9
-What sort of brekfast should i have in the mourning? Somthing high in sugar or carbohydrates?
Something with high sugar will make you feel drained later, try a balanced breakfast with moderate amount of sugar.
-How can i calm down if i feel stressed about the test?
Feeling stressed about the test is natural. Just remind yourself that.
-If all else fails during a test, i cant remember anything i should ___?
    Choose the most likely answer
-How many hours of cramming should i do the night before?
Don't ever cram. Spread your study time out evenly.

The best things to study are notes your teacher made you take, homework, and handouts. Basically anything physical.

For me the most important thing is to get a good nights sleep and have a good breakfast. This is the best way to prepare regardless of how hard/what comes up on the tests. Unlike a lot of people I like to cram a lot the day before the exam (it's worked for me so far and I'm going into my third year at a top 5 UK University), but make sure you don't go to bed too late!

    1) You should be studying all year round. If you are implying studying for most of the day then a few months before the examinations works best.

    2) Buy a volume of encyclopaedias. I recommend Encyclopaedia Britannica 2010 32 Volume. It contains in-depth professionally written answers which will make you actually understand what you are trying to learn and not just pass your examinations.

    3) At least eight hours. I recommend ten hours of good sleep.

    4) You aren't competing for gold at the Olympics. You should eat anything within reason, but breakfast is very important as the morning is prime time for studying.

    5) You won't need to calm down if you start studying before everyone else.

    6) This is a cretinous question.

    7) Do not cram. Study well always.

I heard revising an hour before you go to bed is pointless. Apparently you only remember like 10% of the things read. You should always revise little sections in little intervals throughout the week prior to the exam and revisit those topics to get some information into your long term memory. Good luck also in your exams.

-How long before a test should i study? Continue reviewing lessons from when they are learned up until test time
-What study tips can i use? (i.e. smelling chocolate, ect) Use acronyms for phrases to help you remember things.
-How many hours sleep should i get on the night before the test? (im 16) 7-9
-What sort of brekfast should i have in the mourning? Somthing high in sugar or carbohydrates? high in protein and high in sugar to wake you up
-How can i calm down if i feel stressed about the test? let your mind wander if you become stressed. think about things that make you happy (hot girl with a nice rack sitting next to you, the funny kid in the back of the room, your teachers bad hairdo, etc)
-If all else fails during a test, i cant remember anything i should ___? Guess. better to guess than leave something blank.
-How many hours of cramming should i do the night before? if need be try to cram for 2 hrs at a time and do that twice in one night.

    1. Starting up two 2 weeks prior, about 2 - 5 hours a night
    2. basically, Make sure that you actually understand what your doing. Take frequent breaks, EG 10 mins out of every hour
    3. at least 9. Take a bit of melatonin if you can't sleep
    4. Protein. Fuck everything else other than vitamins / minerals. Basically eat as many eggs as you can
    5. Read below
6.Always be prepared to cheat. It helps you calm, and, if all else fails, you can do that. Be careful, and make sure to study cheating if you intend to do so. know the best way to hide the info depending on the clothes you wear, how much you weight, and what other people think of you.
    7. NONE. Cramming is basically like trying to catch water in a net. Make sure you read through your notes once or twice before bed and after waking up, though.

    Study tips anyone?

-How long before a test should i study? - I usually study three or four days before a test if it's important or on a subject I don't like, or if it's an easy test I cram immediately beforehand.

-What study tips can i use? - Make a study guide, with key facts and quotations highlighted. You can learn/remember more about the subject while making it, and if you bring it with you to the test you can commit the highlighted parts to short-term memory before it starts.

-How many hours sleep should i get on the night before the test? (im 16) - Get as much sleep as is possible for you. I do fine with 4 hours of sleep, but 6-8 hours is probably your best bet.

-What sort of brekfast should i have in the mourning? Something high in sugar or carbohydrates? - It doesn't really matter much, to be honest. Just make sure you eat enough to keep you energized until lunchtime. Coffee helps.

-How can i calm down if i feel stressed about the test? - It's just a test. If you bomb there's always opportunities to make it up, even if they don't immediately present themselves. Remember that.

-If all else fails during a test, i cant remember anything i should ___? - Cheat. Although I don't recommend cheating your way through an entire test, if there's an important question you can't answer you can always look to your neighbor for "help."

-How many hours of cramming should i do the night before? - I find cramming the night before a waste of time. Usually you end up sleeping late, and wake up groggy the next morning with no recollection of what you tried to cram in. If you can't find any time to study, bring your reference material to school with you, and try to cram in small bursts. A chapter on the way to school, a chapter spread out between walks to classes, a chapter at lunch, etc.

(Note that I don't study, or need to study, very often. These tips work for me but not necessarily for you.)
