Sent a payment to wrong person

I sent a payment to the wrong person on paypal. How would I go about getting it back, what would I dispute it as? I have tried getting in contact with the person for days but haven't been able to.

 

Does the payment show up as unclaimed?

 

Contact Paypal, if there is no such email, they will refund it back to you.
If there is and you sent via Gift, then you probably can not do anything about it, try to google that person's email.

 

Maybe the account is inactive, contact PayPal and let them know you sent it to the wrong email, they will open a dispute and if the guy does not answer in like 10 days they will give you your money back, if the person does answer, talk to him and hope that he's not a dick.

 

It was sent do a real person, who I happened to transact with a few days prior to this. It was send as a service, not a gift.

 

You should call and dispute.

They will help you out.

 

Call and explain that you sent it to the wrong person, then dispute the transaction using the customer support operator's instructions.

As others have already said, just contact them :\ If you did a service for the guy, just talk to him and if he understands then you'll get your money back. If not, put his email on blast and have a bunch of people spam him

 

I would probably call them mate, more chance of getting it back person to person rather then emailing them.
