About stealing cards..

i am not gunna steal nor do i intend to steal i am just wondering a simple question
if you go into walmart and pick up a prepaid card like a runescape membership card and took it to the self check out lane and then scanned it but didnt pay would it then be activated?

 

I would assume no.
I've tried to buy cards via the self check out lane and it would not work.
I then had to get somebody to do it for me in the regular line and they had to punch in something to get it activated.

 

as far as im aware no and the rs cards would be in a container like dvd's are, well they are like that in the uk. You shouldn't be thinking about stealing anyway.

 

I've worked there and no, they arent activated until the transaction has gone through.

 

In america they are just sitting by like the yu-gi-oh cards and shit haha

No it does not, the code doesn't become valid until scanned and paid for. I have a friend who works at Target and he told me about kids who would stroll in and steal those cards (among other cards)

NONE of them work until scanned and paid for, these corporations aren't that dumb
