    Deleting recovery questions

Whats the general view on this topic?

I have looked at a few threads stating that its impossible due to the new recovery system.

It is possible if you are the original owner of the account and have a few early passwords & have recovery questions previously used. You need the location the account was created and a rough estimate of the date it was created.

    It's simple.

    1. Account managment

    2. Recover your account

    3. Enter email OR fill in details it doesn't matter

Location: Which Account? » Password Recovery » Recovery Email

IF YOUR APPEAL WAS SUCCESSFUL THAN YOU WILL BE SENT AN EMAIL ASKING YOU TO CHANGE THE PASSWORD DO NOT DO THIS YOUR ACCOUNT HAS NOW BECOME LOCKED. ( This is what you want )

Make a locked account appeal, simply by following steps one and two, you will notice it will look like this.

Location: Which Account? » Locked account Appeal

Simply enter all details as you did the first time and wallah recovery's will be gone.

I think this is a good way to determine if someone is the original owner of an account as they should be able to do this with ease.

If this is known by everyone I am sorry for wasting space, just thought i would put it out there as i have used this method a few times in the last week and have seen countless threads saying its now impossible to delete recovery questions.

Personally for me this takes roughly 15 mins as i have extensive knowledge of my account. It may be very different for others.

Interesting. I didn't know a successful recovery locked the account, and the emailed password-reset link would unlock it.

Assuming everything you posted it correct, this will surely and solely serve its educational value [sic].

(...And for me, to remove the recovery questions off my summer accounts before I sell to Gold4RS, so I only have to wait one week for payment opposed to two. Gotta make some spending cash for college).

yep, I have done it several times. You really do need to have extensive knowledge of the account for it to work as appealing a locked account is harder then a password recovery. I was denied twice the third time i deleted the recoverys on the same account. They where denied all because i left out the state in which i created the account.

As of now i locked my account, so i followed your step got an appeal from Jagex saying appeal successful, but i followed step 1 and 2 and it says, "Location: Which Account? » Locked Account Recovery » Recovery Email" not "Location: Which Account? » Locked account Appeal". If you could please help it would be great. Thanks.
