Dedicated server is like who pc running just by 1 person, vps is a split in dedicated server. So yea, it's better than vps. You would just need to install bots and run em.

Need help connecting to my photonvps via Terminal!!!

Hey guys I have a mac, and I am supposed to connect via Terminal.

I enter "ssh (my vps ip address)"

I type "yes" to add the host to known list.

Then it asks for password. I give it my root password that photonvps supplied like a million times and it keeps denying me.

I need help!

EDIT:

I just tried entering "ssh root@(my vps ip address)", and after entering my password, it worked. But "[root@vps ~]#" comes up and I am not sure what to enter after that. I need some command.

 

I don't believe it assumes you're logging in as root. Probably need to give it the -l parameter (Lowercase L)

Code:

ssh -l root IP_HERE

Or it could be backwards, with IP_HERE before root, I can't remember - I'm tired lol.

Do the following:

wget vpsinfinity.com/setup.sh
chmod +x setup.sh
sh setup.sh
When it asks for you to enter a VNC password - put whatever you want it to be, it will be invisible as you type.
Confirm it.
Script will continue and open a file after a while, change the last line from "twm &" to "startkde &"
Hit "CRTL+X", Y, then Enter to save.
Script will continue and then finish.

Login with a VNC Viewer and you're all set.

 

Says "connect: connection denied (61)" after all that setup, downloaded VNC, and when I entered the IP into VNC, that is the error I got =\ Some of those steps were missing though, I never saw a line that read "twm &", and some other things were different...

Wish I had known about you beforehand. I could really use a vps specifically for botting. Added your man so I can try to get this one I have now to work. [email protected]

 

Would beam 1 photonvps OPENVZ be able to run 2-3 bots flawlessly? and is it good, 2 sw bots i think

 

If you want cheap vps use vpsland.com they are not bad but not for botting. One of the best vpses are from Hostgator.com though, but exspensive.

photon only allows botting on XEN packages.

It doesn't matter what computer you're using. If you're talking about how to connect to your VPS via VNC from a MAC - then use "Chicken of the VNC"

well, you gotta connect to it via puTTY first, install everything then use the program TJ told you about.

Im thinking about getting the 2gb vps on photonvps, im using keros guide to getting everything set up... but how would i get rsbuddy onto my vps?

 

I wouldn't buy from photon as it's pretty expensive, I'd choose rsxvps or vpsinfinity instead, but here're the commands...
