When the heck are they gonna make max number of an item stack 64 bits?

It would indeed be nice, but it doesn't matter to me. Give it time and Jagex will eventually switch-up.

 

They need to make a new type of coin which doubles for gold coins. Like "rare coins" or "platinum coins" which are worth 1k each. Those can still be used at the g.e. and with NPCs. No one will ever have 2.1T in cash. Problem solved

 

They should make it 64 bit, and add a custom limit.

 

I personally don't think they will ever do that.

They made shards if you have large sum's of cash.

I think its fine how it is, to be honest. It keeps the game fair, and doesnt make people having over the top amounts of money.

 

Then you would need an OS with 64bit.
Not many people have 64bit Windows Installed on their Pc

It's like RAM...32bit Pc's are limited to 3gb of ram while 64bit Pc's can support up to 128 GB(or more depending on what Hardware)

not gonna happen as less then 1% of the RS community has that amount of cash anyways. and as mention cash stack is now 50b max. which means almost no1 has it. 64bit system would cause more problems and more moeny for jagex which means they arnt going to do it because they are having enough problems already.

 

well ulimited cash stack if you have over 100b why would the game still be fun?

One it would run people away because they would have to get a 64 bit computer

Two it will cost them alot of money to upgrade their servers, and the money for labor to change it, which would be everything.

The game in general is getting richer. Yesterday someone was begging so I gave him 10k, he told me to gtfo and that he was looking for 400k+.

 

I think the deal with the shards to money is enough as it is. There isn't even an item at max yet (pretty close) but regardless I no for sure Jagex wouldn't put any time just to make a couple of people happy. Sounds pretty complicated as it is changing to a whole new system.

 

If they used longs rather than ints, the max cash/item stack would be 9,223,372,036,854,775,807gp

 

Agreed. But that would only increase the amount of rwt.
