Not sure but I can't wait to find out, I don't care whether it's good or bad aslong as I'm able to retain my memory and experience something surreal while acknowledging the fact that I'm "dead" at the same time.

Death, what do you think happens?

When I'm bored, I close my eyes and try to imagine what happens when you die. I keep thinking, I wouldn't even know I existed. I wouldn't know my whole life, it would be like I was never born, just a blank. Then my brain fry's from thinking about it.

Well if we were good, we will go to Heaven hopefully and live the rest of eternity in peace. Simple Version.

I feel like right before you die, you either have the will and strength to live, or don't and just give up.
If you do live, you're thankful.
If you die, then I believe your spirits stay around and watch over the ones you love :)

It takes more than just repentance for your sins to make it to Heaven... You can't just go out and sin all you want, then come back and say "Oops, sorry God, it won't happen again!".

OT: I've always wanted to know what death is like. I'm not really afraid of it. When it comes for me, I just hope my last moments weren't spent in anger or remorse, or some other dreadful emotion that would cling to my soul for eternity. I've always imagined death to be the ultimate release of pain. Assuming I pass away under natural conditions, I can pictured those last moments of life as euphoric.

I'm not really into religion, as we don't practice it very much in my family, but I'm a Methodist Christian, but I really believe in reincarnation, once you die you may be reincarnated into a new human being but you are not the same person as who you were before.

Just my basic belief with death.

How can you either think, or be afraid of something that you won't even realise when it happens? Nor will you care - bring it on.

I believe that when you die, you're dead. Your brain shuts off, your heart shuts off, your lungs shut off, everything is off and you have no control of anything and you have no thoughts. I am not an Atheist nor am I a part of any main religion(Christianity, Catholicism, Judaism, etc.). It's just, from a logical viewpoint that is what happens.

Though that is what I believe, I will admit I do happen to stumble upon the thought quite often, that if there is a spirit and such and it lives on, could the afterlife be what you imagined it to be? For example, if you spent your whole life believing in Heaven and Hell and you believed you were a good person, would you go to Heaven because that is what you thought your entire life and vice versa with Hell? This is a mere thought and is not my belief, but I find all these theoretical ideas fairly interesting whether or not I agree.

I love this "ARGUMENT". So Buddhists would need to do some answering too huh? So would Islam. So would the 10,000+ religions in the world. What a nice god :)

I figure if a god created man with the ability to reason, he'd be the most elite in reason. The Christian god, however, does not fall under this
    category.

OT: No one. NO ONE, can say 100% if what they believe happens after death is true. Even I hold my beliefs in that way. I believe our consciousness lives on in some sort of way. A theory of mine holds that what causes "near-death experiences", the drug DMT, actives when you die (truth), but since time is just a dimension, your mind isn't bound to time when your brain doses on heavy DMT when you die. Therefore what may be 5 seconds, may be an eternity of you tripping on DMT  (hence heaven, etc.)

Death is the end of functionality of the brain. Consciousness is an effect of the brain.

Put 2 and 2 together, guys.
