Well, I say you build it yourself man. It may seem like it would be hard to DYI at first, but it's quite simple. You get to choose exactly what components you want in your system, verus buying a pre-built pc.

    I came up with a cheap i7 2600k rig for under $750

    Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146055

    Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157251

    Power Supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026

CPU: (Most important when botting) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115070

    RAM: 16GB (x4 of these): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231310

GPU: Something very cheap as you don't need a dedicated GFX card for botting. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133411

    Cheap Hard drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136195

    CPU Cooler: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065

Now this is a beast botting machine, it has potential to be overclocked like crazy too! 4.5 GHz on Air with the provided cooler above. If you went with the stock cooler (one that comes in the CPU box) you could get 4.1-4.2 GHz safely, might be a little toasty though.

www.Tomshardware.com has a forums section that can help you alot more than any of us. They are very helpful when it comes to PC builds. Hope this helps! PM me for anymore questions.

4.5ghz is not too easy with that cooler. Newegg also has it overpriced. It is usually found for around 20.

I've heard of many people getting 4.5 GHz easy on that cooler. He can adapt it how he wants, I'm just suggesting a very good build on the cheap and he can still have very good overclocking potential.

In any case, that motherboard has no agp slot. Also microcenter has $40 off intel sandy bridge processor, motherboard combos.

I made my computer too. Its easy since everything will fall inplace since it doessent fit anywhere else. will take you aprox 5 hours. Its mutch better and cheeper. because: 1: You will need a high graphic card. you can choose one yourself. but you wont need a realy good audio card or so. and with most gaming pc's both will be verry good. So it will cost you. If you need any help or get in any trouble with building your pc contact me and i will be glad to help.
    Me myself i bought a aopen case:http://www.legitreviews.com/article/242/1/
And a ATI Radeon 2600 HD PRO graphic card. http://www.gigahertz.net.in/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=46&Itemid=114

But still dont look for a Fancy one with flames and so on it since you wont be seeing it or even have to give a *** about it.. Just pick a good one. as for other chips and motherboard just find decent ones on ebay or other markets. Goodluck!

How many bots could that run? And how do I overclock it?

Also how much more expensive would liquid cooling cost me?

Tbh, costco is pretty solid on computers, just add a bit of ram & you're set.

Sorry I didn't address these earlier, I left for home before you asked:

I don't see a video card as being -massively- important, so I wouldn't buy a more expensive rig if the only difference is the card.

Also, when getting an i7, try to find out if you are getting a first generation i7 or a second generation i7. The second generation will give better performance.

As long as you upgrade the cooling, I assume you shouldn't have to worry about whether it is liquid cooling or not. Even though botting does use your hardware, I assume it isn't going to heat up your comp like it would if you were rendering heaps movies/scenes in 3ds Max or something.

I could try to explain overclocking, but I would mess the explanation up...It is basically making your computer run at a faster speed than was configured by the manufacturer.

I Google'd a guide to overclocking. There are quite a few, so you might not want to use this one specifically:

    http://howtooverclockcpu.org/

As far as building your own computer, a lot of websites will charge you a small fee to put the computer together themselves after you select the parts.

There are a lot of websites to choose from, it's all about finding the hardware you need for your rig for a price that isn't extravagent (some websites custom build rigs with a starting price of $1200, some with a starting price of $6000).

Of course there is the option to just get the parts you chose shipped to you (on most websites) so you can put it together yourself, but if you would prefer it put together by them it just costs a bit more.

Snow, overclocking a 2600k is basically just 2 things. Raising multiplier and voltage. Raise the multiplier to 40 or so, and raise voltage slowly to make it stable. Liquid cooling is not worth it for this build and would cost much more.

Logical Increments PC buying Guide - This is a very helpful guide to buying components to build your own PC.

For strictly botting, you would want to go with the cheapest case and you don't need a necessarily need a GPU but, it might be worth your time to pick up a cheap one. A Geforce 8400 would work. You also would need minimal disc space. If you plan on running Windows 7, you will probably want 30gb. The more ram the better. The CPU depends on how much you want to spend. I would recommend the AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition.

I see that you are looking at liquid cooling. I would not recommend liquid cooling as it is not worth the money. I good heatsink/fan is a better dollar value and does a very good job.
