    Choosing a suitable laptop.

And you've choosen one with a different CPU in it. Thanks for helping.

Yeah, but if I look at the Samsung for instance, that I posted, it's so much smaller/thinner than the huge ASUS. I mean, could I take the ASUS and sit on a train while I do my schools work? I guess it's too big..
Hmm okay, thanks for the CPU-help!

I've added all the laptops in my first post. Behind is what I think about it. Am I on the right track here?

I have the bigger one and honestly, you'll get used to it. I wouldn't have a problem using it on a train or in the car or anything.

The bottom Asus is smaller than the top one, but I feel like it's a bit overpriced considering it's not much different. Again, I'd have to pick this one.

I feel that out of the ones you picked, this is the best value. It may seem big, but it is a quality laptop that can do anything you need it to do. It's the best value for the cost.

But would you have a problem with using it on a train every single day? 5 days a week?

I also found this one, and the only thing that's different about it, is that it only has 1GB of dedicated graphic card memory, a slightly bigger HDD (with lower rpm) and is smaller/slimmer/'nicer to look at'.

This is from the so called 'K-Series', I don't know what that stand for.. I I presumed G stands for Gaming, N stands for Networking but I can't figure out the K..

That would probably get better battery life and is lighter. The graphics aren't as good (not just the amount of gfx memory) but they'd be more than sufficient if you don't intend to game. The biggest difference is probably that the bigger one has a full 1920 x 1080 resolution while the one you just posted is 1366 x 768

Hmm thanks. I've just found out some things about ASUS. All those series stand for what they have focussed on. And with that in mind I've chosen not to go for a G-series, which is for gaming, since I already have desktop where I can game on. I will be choosing an N(Multimedia) or K(Mainstream)-series laptop I think.

But as I've said before, I'm still looking around and I won't be buying a laptop soon.

Hmm allright. But isn't weird that the K-series is the so called 'mainstream' and the N-series is Multimedia laptop? Since they aren't that different at all.. Well thanks for the insights!

Clash, which brand would you recommend? As the most reliable, and why?

I wouldn't actually. I use it every day now and carry it with me everywhere just about.

You get Mac for the OSX, also the build is better quality than other laptops. They last much longer. I'm currently using a i7 2.2, 8gb, 15" Macbook Pro. Most powerful laptop I've ever had.

I guess because the multimedia has a high definition screen and the other doesn't. I'd recommend an Asus, because they actually manufacture their own hardware which is why they're generally really good values. They're also widely regarded as one of the most reliable motherboard manufacturers. The big name companies (dell, hp, toshiba, gateway, etc) all buy their laptops from the same place.
    Also, this:

Okay, well that's good to know, but I will be going for a smaller model. You've helped me a lot by telling me what and what not to buy, I mean it. Could you also help me a little bit more although you know I won't be buying the laptop you told me ?

Yeah okay, but what did that cost you.. It's very expensive. The laptop you've just described is like $2200 or something. Did you buy it yourself? Because I have to buy my own laptop and that kind of money is just to much for me, I'm sorry.

I've seen that chart when I was looking for the most reliable laptop, it's also why I like the ASUS. Those other arguments are nice. If they make their own hardware they must make it the best for their laptops. Whereas those other companies just have the same hardware, so there isn't that much difference.

I'd like a laptop with a larger screen resolution and better audio. I'll keep you all updated and show some laptops I like now and then.

Honestly, I think the biggest picture is price. If money is no question then you should consider reliability. Apple has the best warranty and service options for all its products, however, as stated by others, A PC system is cheaper for the same specifications and service for most companies tend to be similar although I would agree that ASUS and Toshiba are top 2 when it comes to reliability and customer satisfaction.

Not really. It is better to pay more, than to throw away your computer and buy another one, because you previously bought a super cheap one.
