Warning over possible Phish

Hey guys I was checking my emails today and noticed an odd email from "jagex" after realising I hadnt tried to recover any accounts, I figured this could be a phish attempt.

This is an automated email from Jagex Ltd., makers of RuneScape and FunOrb, sent because you submitted a Password Recovery request for this account.

Your new password has been set and you may use it to log into your account.

From the text which you copied and pasted, the address is right.

I get 10+ phish emails a day

 

Pretty much if your email is public (meaning other people can see what it is) you will get dozens of these emails. Just ignore them.

 

Old news lol, I get like 10 of these a day.

People still fall for it, sadly.

 

Yeah my inbox is full of them, over 300 unread messages 95% of which are from Runescape/Jagex Ltd

 

Yeah, I just mark as junk and it gets deleted.

We are too old for this shit.

 

My windows live email account was recently blocked from the large influx of these emails that I've been getting. It's a shame, it was my primary one too and I cant access anything on it now.

 

I get these on my personal hotmail account, in which...I never use, the email account for my RS account isn't public so I don't get them on there. They're looking more, and more authentic though. I don't see why people are still trying this shit tbh, It's old now.

 

If you hover over the link when it's in your Email you can see that it's a fake link. It'll be like, www.services.runesvape.com or something like that. I can't believe that's the only one you've gotten, I get an easy 5-10 of those a day.

 

I get like 10+ of these every day, the link is right because he copy and pasted.

When you flaunt your email address all over Sythe you end up with several phish emails in your inbox/junk. Just flag them all so they all go to your junk. Jagex will only contact you by email if you have done something on the site and input your email address, such as recovering an account

I get stupid emails from jagex saying your account is muted, infracted, etc...but my account is fine..its weird.

 

Oh, the joy of owning your own domain. Not going to get my e-mail limited any time soon from all of the crap I get. Set some filters on your e-mail so they get automatically moved to junk,

It gets pretty obvious when you see them

 

LOL! Dam i just feel for one last week.. I got the RWT thing

but the thing is.. I logged onto runescape and did have a RWT false ban and it was removed and all my ban history was removed..

so did i get the real thing or a fake.. its weird though becasue i was hacked for like 160m :/

 

Acctually edit: I just realized logging in to my acc on runescape official site..

Lol that rwt phish site is a exact replica of the rs site.. and it really had the false RWT ban etc and it was an error.. lol so i got phished dam i feel so stupid the stuff seemed so legit tho lol.. and im not kid i guess just to much of a trustworthy person

 

Good grief that's sickening at all those attempts. Im guessing they have a bot do it because wasting your time for that... >_<

One reason I don't put my sythe MSN public. I remember right when I added it to my sig, I got a phish email at least 3-5 minutes later.

 

There is a fake one floating around, just check the links before you log in. And if you don't do that, it's always safe to login with something like "Fuck" as the username and "You" as the password. If you login and it shows "Fuck logged in" at the top, it's a phisher. Not only have you figured that out, but you also told the phisher "Fuck you." Always good to be precautionary.

 

Yeah phishing e-mails suck i get tons of them even for games I have never touched in my life lol

 

I literally get 10-50 of these every day its annoying lol, ive never fell for it once although my friend has before.
