Hmm.. Got hacked!

Hello.. so as my mainly used account got banned I decided to use another one of mine, built up 3m cash to start me off with stuff and it seem's I've been hacked, my lucky week? LOL.. So anyway, basically I don't have a clue how it's happened. I don't download anything so don't troll me with your porn jokes, The only bot clients I have is Rsbuddy Rsbot (Don't use it) And Nexus.. The information isn't entered on any of them bots and I don't think anyone with anything to do with them did it anyway but basically I'm just confused as fuck, the password was a password that I use for random shit and other stuff so I'm just wondering what your opinions are and how you think this happened? Thanks!

No, it is not, but it isn't a randomly generated password, I highly doubt it was guesed.

I would also like to point out I have never clicked a phishing link.

 

Is it your account?

Maybe someone was tracking it and saw activity and recovered it back.

 

Yeah, I'm original owner etc etc.

Just wanna get a good idea on how it happened, anyone?

 

Could have clicked on a phishing link.
Could have been an easy password.
Could have been a java drive-by thing.
Could have been recovered if someone knew a lot about you.
Could have something to do with why your main got banned.

Plenty of possibilities.

Do you ever use private servers?

 

If you have ever stored your info on rsbot, that might be a problem.
Maybe you got phished?
Run a scan and see if you have a virus.

 

Never have. Ran a scan on several virus scanners. Nothing found.

Nope. Nope, Nope, possible but I highly doubt it, and my main was banned for botting.. I don't see how it would be linked.

Yeah I've been on a few private servers, lately, as well. But they are highly populated and see no reason to not trust them. So confused, oh well, was only 3m.

 

Yeah, you probably got hacked by a private server...

This - exact same thing happened to me.

 

Rsbot is bad.

powerbot isn't safe imo. Private servers can also be java drivebys and can keylog you.

 

If you have used same nick/password on private ..

 

I've never ran powerbot, just downloaded. My passwords aren't stored on my computer or in an Bot client anyway.

EDIT: I use different names and passwords on RSPS's

By the way this thread is going it seems logical that I shouldn't have been hacked. Mind fuck.

 

be sure to use SpyBot Search & Destroy!
In situations like you are in go check straight away.
or if its a basic keylogger every antivirus should detect it on scan...should...
