I hate that term. Screamo. Anyways I've found some post hardcore bands covering pop songs lately, and I actually like them. This is my favorite so far. Does anyone like any covers. Share them
Terrible. Ruining a song that was crafted with care only because you want to take over some popularity. /norespect.
It's not ruining a song, it's covering it so it gives a different sound to it. It's still the exact same song just different people playing it..
The Kesha song 'We R Who We R' was covered by this band. I really like it. They also covered 'Love The Way You Lie' by rihanna/eminem.
I cannot see how it is ruining it. They are putting a different twist on a popular song. It's not like they are altering the lyrics or anything. I liked that fireflies cover, noodles. I also liked the two songs by The Shadow Effect
Call Me - Blondie (Cadaveria Cover) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWHo6YYcusc Not screamo, but her voice is still quite good. Edit: It does get progressively harder. Also this isn't really the right genre but this yngwie malmsteen cover is pretty cool http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbo5omhfY0A
Screamo is worse than any rap in my book.. It's not even music, there's no rhythm or 'sound' just screaming and kids who enjoy it somehow.
Ha, you're completely wrong. It takes a LOT of skill to be able to 'scream', also gtfo it's not screamo. You try to learn to scream and tell me it takes no skill.
Rap is usually one person rhyming. That take a lot of skill, with the same 10 second beat being looped over and over. They usually rap about nothing of importance also. "Screamo" if you want to call it that. Takes more practice and more skill. You need to learn how to scream, play instruments. Where in rap you just stand there and spit rhymes.
