Search for user feature

As long as money can be made out of it people will keep abusing it.

 

Money? Does this have to do with Sythe account recovering? That is a security issue and I would not support the reactivation of the search feature if it would make it easier to recover old Sythe accounts.

 

I do not understand what money has to do with this?

I still support the re-opening of this feature. It couldn't hurt too much to give it a try; if it starts to be abused then I would be for its re-removal.

That's for searching posts not users.

 

Look to the right...it says "Search by name"

When you find their name, you just click on their name and it goes to their profile...it's just 1 extra easy step.

 

If you google "Sythe.org View profile: *name of user*", it shows up with a link to the user's profile. That's what I usually do :l

As previously stated by Thug-Life, here is a step-by-step guide on doing it.

Step 1.

At the top of this page, click on 'Search'.




Step 2.

Click on 'Advanced Search'.




Step 3.

You will now see this:




Step 4.

Now simply type in the desired Sythe.org username you are trying to locate as highlighted within the green rectangle.




Step 5.

Click on 'Search' as depicted within the yellow rectangle.




Step 6.

Now simply locate the desired username and click on it.




Step 7.

You've arrived at your destination (Sythe.org users' profile page).

The suggestion above seemed kinda long. I feel it's a lot easier to do this^

No, I did not say what you said as my post consist of an explanation.

However I already did state in my post that it was followed on from what you suggested, although I had pre-planned on posting the step-by-step guide even before reading your post.

Only 7 steps, but in reality 5-6.

Does not take long at all.

However searching Google is not always efficient in my opinion, but it is another method of locating a user.

 

Support, This would help a lot.

 

No support due to it being possible already. Just click a few more times, it's not that hard!

 

Not really necessary, you can just google "sythe [person's username]" and their profile will show up. No support

 

This would be a great addition this whole time I would either google the sythe users name, and or use the search box up top. (which doesn't always help)
