    Should alcohol be banned?

the government shouldnt be able to regulate what adults put in their body. if someone wants to snort crack who cares, its their life and if they want to fuck it up let them fuck it up. but government should have no part in it, cause that is over reaching.

    Should alcohol be banned?

No - People drink Alcohol knowing the effects of what's happening. When they do something stupid, it's resulted from drinking. There's obviously someone that's going to misuse it and do something that doesn't benefit anyone at all (Drink driving for example). However, Alcohol is something that get's the best out of some people from what I've seen and some people feel a lot more comfortable after a drink as they're uneasy with themselves beforehand.

    Should alcohol be banned?

No - banning alcohol isn't the solution. Banning people from being stupid (if it was possible) would be a better situation.

    Are you trolling?

Because of the removal drugs wouldn't become cheap.
people wouldnt start taking heroin and whatever else lol.
most people would just not be bothered by it, some my start taking LSD/ecstacy instead people drink alcohol for a "buzz" confidence boost, taking heroin would only make things worse lol.

When did I say drugs would become cheap? They're already cheap... A lot cheaper than alcohol... A bottle of whiskey cost about 30USD and for that you can get enough dope to last you 3 days when the whiskey will only last you like 3 hours.

    Should alcohol be banned?

Banning Alcohol wouldn't fix anything, and it would hurt the economy and it would be just like drugs, people doing them anyways.

    Should alcohol be banned?

No..Same with legalization for drugs. Banning alcohol obviously didn't work in the 30's, why would it work now? Plus, as Coppin' said, people will just do it anyway, so it would waste a ridiculous amount of money (like weed) to put people in jail for it.

Alcohol causes stupidity in the streets, I think that it should be banned. There is too many problems relating to alcohol now. Drink driving is getting stupidly high.

    Should alcohol be banned?

It would be a much better solution to target the stupid people, as opposed to banning the alcohol outright. Remember, most people that consume alcohol don't become stupid. Also, since when was stupidity grounds for banning something?

You've got a point there, but I'm just speaking from personal opinions. I work at a restaurant that's very busy, won restaurant of the year my friend. The amount of people that decide to drive home whilst they can barely stand up is ridiculous. Stupidity causes fatal injuries to people that don't deserve it, like said from drink driving.

    Should alcohol be banned?

Drink driving is illegal correct? Yet people still do it.
What makes you think people will stop drinking alcohol even when it's illegal?

Banning alcohol is not the solution at all. Education, and punishment are the solutions. Punishment is a last resort, whereas Education is the first.

It seems to be working - http://www.alcoholalert.com/drunk-driving-statistics.html

    Should alcohol be banned?

No. While alcohol is a danger to society, the government already tried to ban it, and that had no effect at all. People would make it underground, and would continue to drink it either way. Also, if the government has control of alcohol production, they can regulate the way its made, making it safer than it would be by people secretly making it

I really don't think the governement should tell people what they can and can't do. If somebody wants to drink alcohol they will drink alcohol regardless what the government says. We all should be allowed to make our own choices.

    Should alcohol be banned?

Well, it shouldn't be a question of whether or not the government allows consumption of alcohol or not, it's about how they regulate it. I think the government has done all they need to do (as far as laws and regulations go). It should be up the consumer to drink responsibly.

    Should alcohol be banned?

To all the illegalizers because alcohol is "unhealthy" and kills n many people in every t interval of time:

Fast food is unhealthy, and if consumed regularly (like alcohol), it can be fatal. Should we illegalize fast food? Should we illegalize cars? All unhealthy food? Guns? Knifes? All potentially fatal chemicals?

Where do we draw the line? The government has no business telling us what we can and cannot do in the privacy of our own home.

    Imo, yes.
But have you seen america in 1920's? When there was prohibition nothing has really changed - people were buying alcohol illegaly with no problem...and some gangsters made alot of money from that...

Absolutely not.. Nothing better than working all week and getting smashed at the weekend, Plus all the jobs / tax that would be lost.

No, because i like drinking and also its just going to cause anger if you start banning stuff and perhaps (most likely) that anger could start to escalate to riots and protesting etc. Not to forget about the pubs they will be out of business if such a ban happens.
