Quote awareness.

Sometimes you get quoted and you have no idea about it, i'm suggesting what they have on some forums where you get a pop up saying that you have a new notification about someone quoting you.

I dont think this version of VBulletin can support that.

 

I don't get the point of this suggestion really, why would we need a notification if someone quoted us?

 

It doesn't, but it'd be cool.

If the current VB supports this I wouldn't mind this it's on another forum I use and it comes up as a pm but one problem is it creates unnecessary spam in your inbox, it would be nice to have a "do not pm for quote option" alongside with this suggestion

 

It's been suggested a lot in the past, but from memory our current version of vBulletin wouldn't support it. If you want to check who has quoted you there are other ways. You can 'Subscribe' to the thread and you will be notified of new posts, or you can check all your recent posts by going through your profile and clicking on "Find all posts by ___".

 

Users should be able to toggle it on or off to their liking. This would put a lot of pressure on the server though, since there are tons of quoting every hour.
