ye it appears to me that they think i stole my account/traded it when it was my IRL friends to begin with. what should i do to get it back and get unperma banned,


evidence as requested.

This account has been banned for Hijacking. Jagex operates a zero tolerance policy regarding such actions.

We do not discuss our detection methods, as such, no evidence will be viewable to you.

In stealing player login details and accessing accounts without authorisation, you have not only broken RuneScape's rules but also broken the Computer Misuse Act 1990 in the UK (http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1990/18/introduction) and the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act 1986 in the USA (http://www.justice.gov/criminal/cybercrime/ccmanual/ccmanual.pdf).

Jagex has successfully pursued legal action against an account hijacker; you can read about this on the BBC website, http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8386003.stm.

Any associated accounts will be monitored and future instances of Hijacking, Phishing, or related offences will result in further action against your account(s). We reserve the right to pass information on persistent hijackers to law enforcement agencies.

They have banned you correctly so I don't see how you can appeal it. It was your IRL friends and not yours to begin with?

 

Ask your friend details about the acc, date of creation etc, and appeal saying it's really yours.

 

Hmm, well this is tough because Jagex doesn't read many appeals.

The appeals system is intended for people who are innocent, not people wishing to test Jagex's mercy or express remorse. But if you still wish to try so, ask your friend for account details.

 

I have lost three accounts due to this..all that had been shared with close friends

 

i dont see how they can detect this tho as no1 has even been on the account besides me in past year. could i just provide them with my friends old IP and that would prove to them that i am him or w/e

 

You could try, you're banned anyway so there's no harm in trying your best and getting as much info as you can.

 

im looking for people who have come across this before and have gotten their accounts back or even denied to post not people who have no xp in this scenario

I appealed it, but ofc i was account sharing. the accounts now RIP and i have contacted the parent email multiple times and they refuse to email me back :/ Keep me updated. I really miss my accounts.

Being banned for account highjacking means that someone filed a report in the "help, I've been highjacked!" section of the RS forums and the account was found to be under your ip when it was "highjacked" I have had an account banned for this earlier in the year and it is, from what i have read and experienced, impossible to get an account banned for account highjacking unbanned. Sorry I dont have better news.
