Fondest Memory?

My fondest memory is back in '07-'08. They introduced the three-level Bounty Hunter craters, and maybe a month later it was always packed. Best thing was the huge ass clans that would be in there. I was part of a really big one with like 40+ people. Walking around, seeing another clan and hearing the leader shout out "Kill those fuckers"- and then EVERYONE rushed the other clan... that was so awesome. Another time, we were DD'ing right next to the orb in the middle of the crater, and we see another clan walking like right on the edge of our minimap, then from the other side a small clan comes and starts running towards us (they assumed it was one person from the DD. We spread out and fought that clan, and in the middle of the fight, the other clan comes and attacked us. We ended up dying, but it was all worth it in the end just because of the laughs we had.

 

During an old school drop party, I was able to obtain both a rune platebody and 3k chaos runes. (At 20 cb, that might as well be 100M )

 

This si great, the reason why i created this thread is to make that feeling. i love the feeling you get when you remember a fond memory. thanks for sharing yours.

Oh I have a whole lot more, but not necessarily the best memories. I'm glad I have them, either way, though.

I remember one Easter when Jagex dropped Bunny Ears. They were dropped in patterns all over the place. I got mine behind varrock castle.

One I remember that wasn't exactly fond, but kinda sucked was the whip scam. The whole buying whip for like 3m and putting 300k in after. Such a long time ago it seems like. Honestly, lost like 2-3 whips from it back when I pked. Never really thought about trying it because back then runescape was my life and the risk wasn't really worth the reward.

and also getting membership the first time and going to world 2, everything was sooo much more interesting a fun then than it is for me now

World 1 Varrock west bank + World 2 Fally garden. Legit money making, well before the GE come along.

 

The first major scam I had pulled on me, I was buying 500 rannar seeds for around 18k ea and reselling for 30k. This was around 06, anyway the guy switched them for 500 marriental seeds, and I lost my bank.
9m was a lot at this time.

Fondest memory was probably when I first started, I think I was probably 10, and somebody handed me 13gp and I thought I was set for life.

When I first got membership, barely ANYONE was a member. I remember I went whole days in popular areas without seeing ten people.

 

Man, lot's of good ones. I remember when I first made a pure in rsc. Just got done wining my atk. I think I was 40 1 73 with 13 pray or so. Went pking for the first time, got a kill and got pjed. Ended up getting 3-hit. But on my way to fally (don't know why I decided to go to fally) I ran across this lvl 105 (Back then a 105 may as well of been a god, before Gearshifter maxed combat) his name was brownsoldier, anyways he put up a rune set+2h in invy and asked me if I knew the price. 220k at the time and he just accept the trade and says goodluck. Traded the rune set away for 2 santas, some lobbys and str pots (yes "2" santas they were like 80k a piece at the time).

 

Wow I bought santas when they were 20m and cashed in at 45m fml

 

Trying to figure out how to fish, because there was basically no help when RS2 had came out.

I've got a lot of fond memories. The two that stand out the most are when my best friend bought a pair of rune legs in rsc (you know, when only rich people had rune items...). I was ecstatic. My second memory, years later, was when that same friend bought his first red phat. I think they were around 5mil? It was around the time when green masks were 500k and santas were 300k. Anyone remember the prices that far back?
