Sticky: The RuneScape Help Thread

The content of the thread already suggests why the thread needs to be a sticky. Please read over it and then post your feedback here.​

 

Personally I'd say no. The reason being is because:
1. Already a lot of stickies in that area.
2. This would lower the activity in the forum it's self.
Since these types of things are the most discussed things in the forum.
I'd rather not see a forum go from a bunch of threads a day, to like 4 or 5.
While 1 thread get's 100's of replies.

 

There's too many stickies in the section already. Besides, I think the section itself is for (mainly) help, we don't need a sticky just for that.

 

I don't support as the section was mainly made for that purpose and this would dramatically decrease somewhat of the activity there. People also can't be bothered going through the pages to see if they can help with a question, its much easier if one would just create a thread with the question as the Title.

 

Im not supporting this because the sole purpose that you created the thread for is to get it stickied. Honestly, there are countless threads that have been made before it that do the same thing. It would be useless and would take up to much space.

 

Wrong. I did not create the thread 'just' to get it stickied. There are lots of members who don't know where to go / post for guidance; therefore, I create the thread to help people asking the most commonly asked questions I've seen. A lot of spam questions to be precise. I have worked with forums for years, and I've seen repeats of this act occur many-many times.

 

No, I have made individual posts that go more in depth than that entire thread. If we started sticking everything like that it would be a big dirty mess. I would possibly support it if it went into some greater detail and depth but the way it is now, no support.

 

No support. Reasons, as stated above, are due to the fact that there are:

- Too many stickies.
- The forum itself is mainly about helping anyway.

 

The cons heavily outway the pros.

If someone needs help, they can post in any runescape section that has something to do with their question, they don't need a whole sticky. People have been asking questions in the apropriate runescape sections for a long time, and the community has helped them. There doesn't need to be one sticky dedicated for all the runescape help that people need.

That would be like asking sythe to sticky a thread in the homework help section just for people that need homework help.
