Recovering my paypal payment

URGENT: Situation has been updated, and the scammer re-added me on skype. He mocks me by saying that I'll never get the money back because I sent the chargeback on the same IP address as I sent the money on. In theory, he admitted he scammed. However, I say "dude did you get hacked?", and now he claims he DID leave the money on my account, and thought that I was the one who scammed by charging back, even though the payment was sent to the very same email, the skype was the very same person, and I can't seriously believe that he thinks I'm going to fall for that so he can scam another $90 LOL

Well, for once the person who wants to recover writes. I am writing because, my gold supplier who was legit for 5 trades; including one where I trusted him with my account to leave 200M overnight were successful. Today, I try to buy 180M off him, he scams, removes me as a contact on skype, logs out of RS. He is the only person that trusted me with direct paypal, but I want to retract the $90 I paid for the 180M. He always made me write the following disclaimer whenever I bought:

It was roughly around those lines, anyway. I sent it via gift, but I was wondering is it still possible to chargeback? I would only want to chargeback that specific payment because he scammed me on that one. It's weird because he was the only legit person I knew on sythe (Nreece2007), and this is our smallest trade yet; but he scams this one...Oh well. I never have chargedback from paypal, and when I have it was a failure (wasn't via gift though).

Well if you have a credit/debit card added and want to chargeback, it's possible you can win the dispute at a 90% rate because paypal bends over for credit/debit card companies.. note or not if the payment was unauthorized they will think it's just a gift payment and you will get your money back.. they never check the evidence because gifts don't have buyer protection so you should win. Tell the guy that scammed you, he can suck your dick because he failed.

 

Are you sure your mate wasnt hacked and this is a random occurence?? Id try to contact any other ways you know how and possibly start the dispute as he will be notified via paypal about the urgent matter...

If the payment was paid via Paypal or Debit card funds, you're screwed. If you paid via a credit card, contact your credit card company and they will settle things for you.

 

I don't think this is true. You can most likely always win over money if you dispute that the payment was unauthorized. I've had people without sending through CC dispute their money back from me in an attempt to scam me and it worked. Just give it a try and you'll most likely get your money back.

It doesn't matter if he is hacked or not as the hacker wouldn't ask for the payment through the "hacked" PayPal account. Also, who's fault is it that you lost the money (if he did get hacked), it's his so he has to pay for the mistake and not you.

Dispute the payment as unauthorized and you should win the dispute, good luck.

 

Very sure. He even told me he had the payment when i sent it to his usual paypal email (he didn't send it to my on chat I had it saved on my own system). I'm very sure he didn't get hacked; but even if he did, he shouldn't have the $90 anyway because I didn't get my 180M. I know he has a room mate, so it could have been him :/ but the dealer has skype at work so he would have noticed. Ah well this is my last purchase anyway for a very long time

Edit: I understand some of you are thinking something's odd if I'm trying to retract my payment, and that's why I said after this transaction no one will ever trust me with paypal again, which I understand. Thanks a lot though you guys saved me $90 (if it works XD)

 

It's possible, if you tell PP that you got scammed.
