Can someone tell me if this is true?

I'm planning on buying this account from another sythe user, and there is an email is registered. He says I could change it before purchasing the account by recovering it (As I understand it he is supplying the details, so the recovery attempt would be accepted - he agreed to go first, and this is why he is doing this) which would then change the registered email on the account to the one I email I enter when I recover it. Can someone tell me if this is true? I've never heard of this happening. I'm not saying I don't believe him or trust him, I just never knew this happened.

Erm im not sure but i think you dont recover it to change the email o.o i might be wrong but i thought it was u unsubscribe from one and then enter the email from your other one

 

when you recover an account it changes it to the email used to recover it

 

Exactly what GotMoney said. Get him to "Unsubscribe" to the mailing list, which sends his email a link. He has to click the link to confirm it. You have to then subscribe using your email, and check your email for the link, again, to confirm it.

 

I got 2 different answers... Not sure which is right :/
Can anyone else help me out?

Edit: I know you can change the email by unsubscribing, but I'm wanting to know if you can change emails by recovering.

 

^This, you can't with the recover I believe.

 

You can change it without recovering within seconds. All you need is the current e-mail address set on the account and the new one you'd like to be set on the account...
