Well now there's a way; with Bullet Battles, Xbox Wagers!​

About this service:
This service works in a simelar way to "DICING" on Runescape; in that two competitors will bet against each other in a game on XBOX; with a set rules listing; the bet will be held by a "Host" and then given to the winner once he has won; the "Host" will take a 10% tip on the pot.

Example -
Player 1; bets 100m on a quickscoping match on CoD4; his name is listed up on the thread; and he will wait for an opponent. Once found; Player 1 & Player 2 with give 100m each to the host. The host will then invite both players to the game; and watch it as a spectator. Once the winner have prevailed; 180m will be given to him; with 20m(10%) staying with the host.

I may be interested in doing this. No offence, but I wouldn't trust you with my RSGP. If you can find another, more trusted member to be a host for you, I would be willing to bet quite a bit in MW2 or Black Ops.

I would do this except for the fact that you're from the United Kingdom, which would make this pointless if you host for American players because the lag would make it retarded, so maybe you should find a partner for this that is American to host American lobbies and you can host UK lobbies, anyway, good luck, I may be interested in using this soon.

 

And Also Make Someone Host Australian Lobbies :d

This is a very good point; but I can also let one of the wager contestants host the match;me as a spectator; of course; with the set rules; if the connectiom becomes a problem. The DQ will stand, obviously; if they disobey the rules.

Good point, didn't even think of spectator =p. Any chance you will allow paypal for this soon? Seeing as I don't deal with RSGP and I don't like selling it because I get scammed when dealing with RSGP so yeah. If you accept Paypal soon I'd be willing to do some 2v2s

 

No worries man; I understand the un-easiness to go ahead straight in and trust; but hopefully after a few days; we'll have pictures of successful games we have hosted; including giving out POT winnings; and Game results taken directly from TV screen; this also helps to prevent any people saying "But I won; he's lying" etc etc.
Please also note at this time we have a minimum wager of just 1m; but this obviously is subject to change if we get up and running fast

 

For our own personal security (Chargebacks/Paypal issues) it would be a less safe way to do this; It would be far safer and easier, for both parties if the contestents were to buy rsgp; and then if win; resell it.

This is a discussion board, where you post things to hear what people have to say and get their opinions.

Just because you didn't necessarily like my post, or I wasn't asking to use your service, does not mean my post was spam.

It irks me when people do this, reporting every post for spam that they see.

To add on to what I said earlier about it not getting off the ground, you're trying to appeal to a very limited audience here. You're going to need a lot of customers to 'get off the ground', as I put earlier. I cannot see that happening. Runescape is viewed as a children's game, and how many hardcore gamers (ie: People who play Call of Duty) would use this to bet RSGP? Do you have any idea how one sided these bets could be, too? Hosting in Call of Duty is kind of odd. You live in the UK apparently, and pretty much can't host for half the people that visit Sythe. And you can't just say "oh...I'll let one of them host." It doesn't work that way. The game decides who hosts.

All I'm trying to get across is that, to oversimplify things, you have have runescape gamers and you have xbox gamers. Two seperate groups, pretty much. One or the other, white or black. To make that group even smaller, you're looking for people who both, but ALSO want to gamble. There's a niche group you're attempting to appeal to with this, that's virtually nonexistent. Sure you might get a few repeat customers that come back occasionally, but that doesn't mean you're 'getting off the ground' with this business you're trying to start up.

Businesses like Dragon Dyce appeal to people and make profit because of their ease of access. They stay in one game, thus attracting a wider userbase that way, and don't try mingle cross-platform. They have people who will take the wagers 24/7, and the money they gamble pertains to the game they're playing. You might think that because some of the comments here are positive, saying "oh yes, I'll use you sometime". But no, they aren't bound to what they're saying in any way, and I guarantee most of these people saying they will, won't. I don't think it will work, but good luck.

 

First off; this section of the forums is allocated to "Sales" not "Discussion"
And secondly; 99% of cod players; when asked; said they would love to make money by playing CoD. RSGP is more of a PAYMENT method than anything, it's easy to buy rsgp; and then re-sell it to trusted members; and far safer than wagering real life money.

I'm already thinking about this and could be a problem. I'm not trying to down you but you don't have much rep on here and ive had a few members have asked me if I could do this for secure reasons. And basicly to allow paypal an if somone doesn't pay I will ban them for scamming since I will have the proof. Get at me if interested.

 

Make money. RSGP is not money. I bet if you told that 99% that they were going to be paid in runescape money, which is not legal tender anywhere, might I add, they would just laugh at you. It is not easy to sell gold either. Tell those 99% of Cod players they're more than likely going to be scammed or charge backed, and you just lost everyone. This is hardly a viable way to make money.

And your first point is hypocrisy at it's finest. Are you not discussing this with me? Did other people not discuss as well, in this very same thread? Were the others reported for spam? Doubtful.

Paypal, as DJweasel said, I could see happening though. As long as it stays far, far away from any ingame currencies, it might work.

 

so you know; it's VERY easy to sell GP on sythe; with hundreds of trusted gold buyers; or through playerauctions; which guarantees an easy sale with no complications; a few OMM's have gold buying threads also.

Besides this isn't for try hard people that want to make bank; or want to get rich fast; it's for a bit of fun playing xbox, with a little extra kick. Lighten up'
