He botted to 99 WC in about 2 weeks, we were racing back in January, February or so. I never got banned, but he did about 2 months ago, even though it just got lifted. We used Powerbot, Epicbot and Rsbuddy.

Post additional comments and proof that the macro detection sucks.

I had a somewhat opposite experience yesterday and this morning. An account i botted 99 woodcut, fishing, and 95 mining was temporarily banned on July 27 while mining. The offence was lifted yesterday at around 6:00PM PST, and I began botting immediately after I transferred its resources. Within 12 hours, it was already banned again for macro minor. Interestingly, I've been autoing several other accounts for the same (and longer) periods of time using the same script, at the same place, without a ban. They clearly do have a detection system, it's just pretty ineffective most of the time. Here is proof that this happened to me (note the dates of the bans):

I'm supposing there really is no macro detection. That's just a lie to keep people in fear of losing their account.

Of course there are things to detect stuff such as repetitive clicks and what not, their 'macro detection' relies mostly on player reports, which is why legitimate players get banned on occasions too.

    LMAO.

    Similar experience here recently.

A few days ago two of my f2p mining guild coal miners, and one of my f2p GE yew cutters got minor macroing bans. I appealed and said I had no idea why I'm banned and mentioned that I keep public chat off at all times so I do not respond to players.

    All three appeals accepted.

The funniest thing is that all three accounts had 85+ (yew wcer had 97 wc) in the skill they were botting, no other stats at all, and were run 24/7 for their entire lifetime. No rollback, none of my banked coal/yews gone. GF Jagex haha. And naturally the accounts are going back to botting.

By the way a tip for everyone who is making bots, do not ever use the same string of emails (like [email protected], [email protected] and so on), as I think that's why those three accounts were banned while my other accounts were not.

Oh God, I love this! I'm definitely using that appeal next time I get banned, if ever, because I've never had a first in about 7 months.

I really wish that would happen to me, still banned though. However it makes the think; jmods have to power to quash an offense that would otherwise permanently ban your account. Who here has connections to any of them ^.^

Their detection system is based on repetitive actions pattern, easily avoidable is you have a script that not many people has.
