A Malaysian student has recounted how even children took part in an assault on him in London's riots, a scene captured in online footage that has sparked an outpouring of revulsion.

 

Wow.. was the London riot that bad? I haven't watched the news... That's really sad to see someone pretending to help but instead rob. Hope those who have done the crime, do the time.

 

This is just pathetic in every way. How can someone do that with a good conscience?

 

This pissed me off. How the hell are you going to help a injured man and still steal his shit.

 

Asking for donations for this victim is just as equally pathetic, what happened to him was tragic and disgusting but he didn't lose anything that important where as he's going to need thousands of people donating a sum of cash.

I send him my love and support, but I'm not going to pay for anything that I didn't cause. No one should be giving him anything of value but the people who stole from him. Isn't there free health care in the uk? I don't know for sure but if there is then he isn't going to have any medical bills.

 

All of these riots are terrible. On the news now you see kids running in and out of liquor stores taking bottles.

 

what are you on about who asked for donations? i know what happened did i miss something?

 

He doesn't need any donations, what he needs is free classes on self defense and a lot of love and non financial support.

 

Free healthcare, my ass. You will be given a sum of money, but it won't cover some heavy surgery if he'd need that.
Anyway, the donations represent the people that are NOT riotting, to show that only a small group of people in the UK are scumbags, as stated.

OT: This is just disgusting. I've seen this several times on the news, and everytime I see it, I go nuts. I tell my parents that if I were to live near there, I'd take a steel bat, go out on the streets and hit every one of those robbers to the ground.

How can you be so STUPID and fucking RETARDED to set fire to a furniture store? How crazy do you have to be?
I feel no sorry for the rioters, I hope the police will use those rubber bullets and water cannons. I really hope it ends soon, and I feel really sorry for all the people that have been hurt or who have lost their whole life to this group of morons.

 

Wow, how could they do that? Seeing an injured kid on the street and helping him up would be nice, without stealing but helping him up so they can get access to his bag? Pathetic.

I think they stole his PSP from his bag. Sony is kind enough to donate a PSP to him though.

Healthcare is never free. Insurance might cover it, but this isn't always or not fully the case. It's going to cost him some.

I think it's very kind of people to donate some money to a poor lad. You mustn't forget that he probably also has a trauma from this. I would.

 

Really, free classes on self defense?

Even if he knew what to do, and even had a gun I doubt he could fend himself injured from a group of large people like that.

 

Anything that could help him defend himself would be great, I mean he was so scared and was just lifted up like a rag doll. He needs some self confidence and maybe self defence classes would help him achive that. He still probably would have been robbed if he fought back but he was on a bike beforehand I just don't see how he couldn't escape. But like I said above I send him my love and I hope he recovers from this.

 

You do know he was previously injured correct, and hadn't eaten in a while (I don't know how long they fast for, I heard it was all day).

All the self confidence in the world and self defense couldn't of helped him in that situation.

 

Well it could help him now and help the recovering process, that's why i suggested it.

 

He came to England a month ago (for his studies), people don't want him to think everyone in the UK is a selfish, ugly, theiving, yob.

Brits are actually generous/kind (atleast thats what people want the poor lad to think).

You gotta realise how many people were shocked that someone could do such a thing, especially someone who was most likely born and raised in the country. In a sense everyone feels some sense of responsibility, atleast nationalists who feel this country isn't cruel or a place full of yobs. They want to show their support, many of the comments I was reading on the site was "I hope this man realises that not "everyone is like this" and that 99% of us are disgusted by what happened".

I am sure he tried to escape (his friend was able to), but maybe he got surrounded to fast or something. It happens, anyone in his situation wouldn't have been able to do anything. And don't forget, the lad came into the country 1 month ago, he may have seen "looters" on tv, but I'm sure he didn't think they'd outright break his jaw and rob him, help him up and then rob him again.

+He was fasting, for the whole day.

 

I know quite a bit of self-defense but I'm sure I couldn't defend myself from a mob of people..

 

This is what he said;

He said: "My family are worried about me and my mother would like me to go home. But I am determined to stay.

"Britain is great. Before I came here I was very eager and I haven't got any ill-feeling about what happened.

"I feel very sorry for the people who did this. It was really sad because among them were children."

 

Terribly sad... I can't imagine this ever happening where I'm from... Just terrible.
