google *insert patch here* talent guide. Haven't played really since BC I don't know the patch right now.

 

Really, the way the talent trees are set up now you can put points anywhere and be successful. Your spec doesn't have to be a "cookie-cutter" combination unless you're max level and planning to hardcore PvP or Raid successfully.

TL;DR - Make it however you want, at lower levels as long as you're spending the points you're good.

ONTOPIC: Play it and learn as you go...if you still don't understand then reroll hunter or druid easiest class.

OT: Paladins are easy to play, and learn, they are also one of the funnest early game characters.
