Useful mage level for strength pure?

What would be a useful mage level for a strength pure with 40 attack, 99 strength and 70 range?.. To make it clear, I will not be using magic attacks, solely melee so I am wondering what mage level I should get to for comfort, e.g. easy teleports to important places and a few non-combat spells to mix it up. I am also P2P, thank you.

 

level 1. You can use tele tabs. but if you want to pk (which most pures do...) then I'd go with either 20 for bind, or 50 for snare.

 

You can always use tabs to teleport, but I would get your magic as high as you can without raising your combat level. It's generally a very useful skill.

 

Plug in some numbers in a combat calculator to see if it will level your combat or not.

You can alch your way to 85 for teleport block, and there's a chance you won't gain any combat levels.

Bind/snare might come in handy.

 

I'd get around 75, remember the higher your magic level, the higher your magic defense.

 

Level 1, 25 (v tele), or 85 (teleblock).

 

I'd say 94 tbh.

The only useful teleport that doesn't have a tab is Trollheim, and that's really only if you GWD or use the herb patch... If you aren't using magic to Pk at all then I wouldn't worry about magic at all.

 

I believe you can hit lvl 84 magic (may be lower) before it starts to affect your combat level, so just get to a lvl where you can use all teleports/other spells that you want, as long as you don't go past that point. Use a combat calculator as stated above to help you find your limit.
