Jagex employees have no sense of humor.

Looking back at my old offenses lol, they actually gave me a fucking item scamming offense for this.

 

Can imagine they're serious; they don't want anyone to get scammed. Might have been a joke, but it's their job to secure the community.

JaGeX is actually full of humor, looking at all the anagrams and name twists in their game.

 

Surprised some retard even reported you for that..

They probably had no idea that you were just having a mere joke.

 

I once got muted for a similar joke.

That's what you get with an automated system.

 

This may not be staff handled but by machine. Their system may use a certain filter assigned to the scamming phrases that are quite common in runescape. E.g. "Trimming armour"

 

I got muted once for saying pot in reference to potions when mage bank pking...

 

What idiot reports you for this in the first place?

 

I remember standing with some of my friends in GE and saying in public "need gf free stuff plox" and was reported and subsequently muted. Pretty annoying, can't really talk and just spammed my friends "need more bitternuts" or "get on the stove".

 

It was the player who reported you that was serious.

 

I guess some fat kid walks by and reads "scamming" and b00m reported.

 

You broke their rules by saying that. Don't break their rules if you don't want to get in trouble.
