Hand cannon rushing... At high levels?

How good is hand cannon at higher levels? I am thinking about trying to max my range and range gear out if I could get decent kills. I am honestly sick of claw pjers. So this is what we would be talking about:

102/103 Combat level
99 Range
Full range void
Rigour
Archer's ring
Ava's Alerter
Range Ammy

Thats something what my gear would look like. Pretty much best range bonus cept I wouldnt be using ranger boots. With this setup, how often would I 2 Shot someone, with lets say, 50 Defence and armour equal to full rune. Is hand cannon rushing still good at this level? Or would I have more luck doing barrage to korasi...

 

You should 2shot ppls with cannon cuz they'll be like "wtf just happened" comparing to barrage-korasi
If you barrage them they can use prot mage/deflect mage and then your korasi spec is just useless

 

Sick of claw pjers? Might try pking in high-risk worlds. The account will work, however I wouldn't expect a better ratio than 15-20 tries for one kill.

 

And if that one kill yields 10m+ loot, definitely worth doing IMO

 

And how necessary is rigour, I would be 100 Combat without it, but 5% lower damage. On the other hand with korasi and barrage would be more accurate but have less of a max hit. My max with staff of light and arcane stream is 420 or so. My korasi max hit is 590, but it will be 620 once I get barrows gloves and fighter torso. Barrage to korasi can be done really fast as well if I use an autoswitcher. I mean hey- if they are going to rush me and pj me when I fight legit, why cant I fight dirty.

Anyway, thats my view on korasi. And to be honest I just lost berserker ring to a barrage/korasi guy who didnt even have turmoil. But if you guys think hand cannon rushing is the way to go to drop claw rushers, then I will give it a go

 

I personally think the best way to drop claw rushers is to vengeance, barrage and then dds/korasi.

 

Handcannon is a good idea, I don't know if you would have time to blitz + handcannon though.

 

It's so hit and miss, i wouldn't bother, some times you might 2 hit someone; another you might hit 0-100 everytime.

 

yer some time sponges, and you have to wait ages to get spec up, normal attacks re slow but can be high hitting...

 

If you use veng and they hit once high at youwhile you a rushing atm thrm you might have a bigger change to kill them

 

If you really really really reaaalllyyyy want to rush, then get Ring of Vigour and do Barrage - Korasi's - Korasi's or claws to Korasi's, both while wearing void.

 

Use cannon spec, then claw when they pray mage, can do big damage quickly if you're real lucky.

 

handcannon to bgs/ags whack is good, i got rushed like this yesterday and died, i was in full rune 45 defence 103 cb

 

Barroage/korasis with vigour would be better imo, personally i dont see as many cannons after wildy returned

 

I know it's a little change, but instead of a ranged ammy maybe use amulet of zealots?
the negative prayer bonus sucks though.

My tank always wins hc rushing.
106 cb, 99 range, void range, archer (i), ranger boots, ranging ammy, and rigour.

The archer(i) and ranger boots are well worth the time. I've 1 hit so many times in the gear, and you can 1 hit brewed 99 hp easy also.

 

this method works amazingly well. i dont say from me personally doing it but ill sit in the wild and watch the hybridders get 2 hitted by void handcannoneers. so do it if you wana make loads
