Some of my work

Please rate! I've been photoshopping for a little under a year now and I'd like some feedback.





I'm new to vectors, these are some of the things I've done recently, from my very first vector to last so far. Please critique.

1st vector ever (completed 3 weeks ago, too big to view here)

2nd vector (completed last week)




3rd vector (unfinished, it's one of myself. started it on friday, will finish after I'm done with hw.)




4th (just a preview of the previous one unfinished, how it looks overtime. ~ i fuck around for exactly 1hr everytime then stop)

 

The only O.K. one I saw was the one with the pigs, the rest were simply bad.
Why did you put these on here? So you could show us your copy pasting skills?
If this was the help section I would've given you a reasonable CnC, but for showing off, no.

Well none of these have any visible concept and seem like someone learning how to copy/paste like Kin said :/

Not sure what you were going for with these. Lol, the pigs one made me laugh though, I like that one.

As just about everyone else said pretty much copy pasta. I'd suggest looking up how to use effects etc.

 

You definitely have an interesting style. To each their own, I guess.

 

Perhaps put them in the first post? And moved this for you.

they're my first so i kinda hope to get better at it, i just started doing a morgan freeman one right now. hopefully by december i would've finished 100 or so for a MONSTER portfolio

 

why program do you use?

 

Mostly copy-paste skills, maybe a basic effect or two. Meh...

I would suggest getting C4D and learning to make sigs. You learn alot about Graphic design through that, and you can make decent cash.

 

Photoshop

 

Stick with your vector graphics, they're much more appealing than your copy pasta. Very unique styling you've got with these vectors I think. Are they your own style?

 

Yeah it's my own style. I want them to be different.

 

I think you're creative. Some people pay big for abstract creativity like that. It may not have been super nicely presented, but hey, you're no veteran at this. You'll get better. Look up some tutorials on photo manipulation, you'd be surprised how much you learn. Your vectors come out really nice! You may want to consider learning Adobe Illustrator. That's my favorite out of all the Adobe Software. It's particularly good at vector objects and more clean-cut designs. Since you're particularly skilled in creating vector styled art, i recommend you start learning it. You won't regret it.

Anyhow, keep it up. People keep talking garbage of your stuff - just show 'em up.

 

Completely agree. Your vectors are quite simply amazing.

As for your other photoshopped pictures. There is too much contrast between the objects you inserted into the scene. You might need to play around with saturation to make it look like it's actually there rather than pasted on. But overall, they are pretty decent.
