Buying back banned accounts from jagex

So jagex lets you buy back banned accounts. Has anyone here done this before? If so how much did it cost you?

 

Costs about 30 bucks in gamecards to unlock if they accept your request.

 

I was just wondering, how long has Jagex allowed people to do this?

 

Do you have all your Gold/Items/Stats on your account does anyone know?

 

I think they started allowing this after free trade came back

 

It was after free trade comes back, they don't always reinstate your account, and if they do, your gp is most likely turned into one coin.

 

Of course they get their money. You get your precious account back, possibly.

Jagex is so money hungry now.. not gonna complain though, makes botting easier.

 

a friend of mine bought his account back and they divided all his stats by 4 and took all his money/rares

If your game was falling apart to people botting, wouldnt you try and make as much money out of it before the game dies?

 

They don't get your money unless you get your account back

if you send in a request on the BAR topic and it's successful, your account will be given back to you (With a possible Bank + Stats reset) but you'll need to "purchase" it back with a UGC (RS Gamecards don't work) it comes out to about $30 USD but for locked accounts that have decent stats/bank it's well worth it.

 

Last I heard you get rolled back as well when you get it.

 

From what I've seen you basically get ur exp halved and I'm not sure about wealth, one guy I spoke to saod he had 185m left after been rolled, he had 1bil before being rolled

You won't know the penalty until you log in, as the penalty varies with the offense. RWT'ing bans get cash stacks reset to 1 gp (with rumors that rare stacks are treated the same way: you keep one of each), while botting bans are more likely to involve stat rolling and/or wealth resets.
