Question.

I'm assuming this is the correct place to put it. I'd rather not go around asking every mod why this happened.

I was just wondering who locked it and what the reasoning was behind it.

Before I made them I asked Finn in a private message if it was alright for me to post guides in that section, he said it was alright.
So I went ahead and posted some guides that I found would be helpful to Sythe member's needs.
People have asked the questions and they could read the guides for some extra support.

They were put there for no reason other than to help the Sythe community, so why would they be locked?

Curious too. Your guides don't include scientific things or anything like that, but this is alright, seeing as it is free and doesn't harm anyone.

^A Moderator posted that, which could be a clue as to why anyone would've locked it. Though the guides still seem relevant, so I don't see why they were locked.

I agree with OP, excellent guides that were well written and I see no reason why they should be closed.

Probably to stop people abusing the threads, he could have deleted them if he didnt want them there.

What I was going to do was request a lock on all the threads except for the main one. Just didn't want to bother anyone to do it.
I can see how it can be annoying for like 6 guide threads to always be near the top because people keep posting on them.

I just hope he'll unlock the main thread so I can continue to bump that so people can see.

 

It may be because majority of the guides in that thread aren't written by you. From my understanding, the guide section should only include posts with guides written by the OP. Otherwise anyone can get a link to any guide on the internet and post a new thread, creating a board of spam.

I'm not sure, I'm just assuming that could be it.

Yes, go to your profile or http://www.sythe.org/member.php?u=339354 and press Find all threads started by tessman which is in the middle of the page.

If that doesn't work, just search your username on Sythe.
