A new "Technology" section

Well, I've seen it work on a number of other forums and I think it would be quite good to have our own Technology section, in Off-Topic. I've seen plenty of threads and interest about computers, gadgets, software and etc to warrant a section.

Thoughts?

 

Good suggestion. When i had a problem or query i'd post it in the "Help, Requests & Tech. Support" or "Off-Topic/General Discussion"

I feel if a tech thread was created there could be jailbreaking tutorials and other tutorials to do with technology. This could also be used to talk about news in technology, eg: release dates of new phones, games, consoles.

I feel one for section will not do any harm and will certainly get more activity than "Music".

"That can go in the Genrel Off-Topic section, because it wouldnt get enough activity, however if it seems there is alot of "Technology" posts, a new one could be opened"

I support anything JohnK says by far one of the smartest members of the site and would never suggest anything unless it would truly help. Support!

 

I support this, I do think it would have enough activity and it's a huge topic to talk about.

 

ehhh i dont know if i wnt to support or not support, so i guess im just neutral for now until i hear more thoughts. reason being is because technically they can post it in tech support section, BUT seeing as it is a huge topic a new sub forum wouldnt hurt. then again it has a chance of flopping.

 

Besides news about recent Technology, what else is there to talk about?

Help concerning Technology should stay at "Help, Requests & Tech. Support" as it fits most there.

Also, I'm guessing jailbreaking is against Sythe rules? (Kinda new as you can see not sure with all the rules :b)

 

Technology is a large topic which most people enjoy reading up on, seeing the new updates on everything technology-involved. Though I don't know if this would be active. Neutral.

 

This would be great, I support. I have a pashion for Gadgets and Gizmos and I'd love to share/hear about it from others on Sythe

 

We have far too many subforums in Off Topic as it is. For now, any tech discussion belongs in General Discussion.
