Is now the time to quit?

RSGP's mil is crashing by each day, is now the time for me to cash in my chips and quit? My networth on RS is about 2B, so if I sell now I can probably make around 1,000$ while price per mil is hovering around 40-50cents, what should I do?

If I were to stay I would hope that phats would continue to rise, but all theyve been doing is going down, and even if they go up again sometime later, what if the mil goes down to 10 cents per, lol.

So is now the time for everybody to cash out, before everything becomes dirt cheap from the bots raking in all the gp?

edit: i still enjoy playing RS, well I don't really play but I like botting my main, I'd hope to bot my main to all max stats, kinda halfway there, but I fear its taking a toll on my comp, which has 8GB of ram (how good is this?)

 

Phats are rising slower than GP is crashing. It's not a stable "currency" to invest in anymore, so I'd say run and put your cash in a bank instead.

 

Who would sell RSGP for .10/M? It will never go that low rofl.

RS isn't exactly a good 'investment' anymore because of the value drop it has had, and because of the way things are going in RS atm. It will just get worse. I wonder what will happen to the market when the level 85 armour comes out soon.

well, the last time I quit, I had a yellow partyhat, which was worth around 300$ at the time. After quitting that time for 1-2 years, I came back to find yellow are now worth 1B+, if I quit again, I fear that that will happen again and double in price while I'm gone, but that time of inflation was when free trade was re introduced I think..

 

I suggest that you should sell the gold and try to make more with Minimum RSGP at risk.

 

Partyhats are likely to continue rising. The recent explosion in price happened when trillions and trillions of GP was opened up, and stockpilers needed ways to hoard money. They hoarded by hoarding party hats. The increased demand = increased price.

The prices are up there now because of this. I don't think the GP values of partyhats will decrease significantly (other than natural cycles and isolated, small crashes), but I do think that GP has not yet bottomed out.

This is what I do. I try and sell off my GP from my bots at least once a week, since the money gains a small amount in a savings account, at least.

 

RuneScape is only a game~ Anything that you make and you end up profiting from is good.

 

if I quit now, I'll be selling my red partyhat to break it down and sell all the GP on PA, but is it worth it, I mean what are the risks of waiting another year to sell all my RS stuff, how much profit would I lose or make if I sold in the future instead of now, because I still enjoy playing rs and won't play rs if I poor (botting)

 

You really can't predict the future but from where I'm seeing it; Gold will drop even more as Many gold was introduced to the game after free trade (Just like Kero said) and gold is constantly dropping. On a second note; I believe Red party hats are above 2.5B last time I checked, Sorry if I'm wrong, I haven't looked at prices since forever.

I wouldn't quit to be honest. I've thought about selling my account before, never had 2b though, but I wanted to keep it just incase I want to play it some day. And I do.

 

I would buy a Partyhat and sit. RSGP back 4-5 years ago was $5/mil I think, and PHats were worth much less than they are now. So, though RSGP will plummet in worth, the rares are always going to rise.

 

Just get that 1K and invest it. Search around for some ideas on how to invest it.

 

I'd say cash out. I'm almost done with my staker and I intend to buy a few phats with the money I make with him. I will keep some hats and sell some, so if you aren't quitting completely yo should sell 8/10 of it and keep like 400m for later gameplay. But thats just my opinion

Rares will always go up, why? Not only because more can't come into the game.. but they also leave the game, alota morons alch their phats for vid lol.

 

The economy is crashing, mils are so easy to make with bots, and with people gold farming they will be making so much a day they can afford to sell at .10/M. I can actually see this being the price of gp soon.
