No one charges 10% anymore. It ranges from 3% to 5% and it's usually in GP, and since GP is like .50/M, it's more like 1.5% to 3%.

The OMM rank isn't an exclusive "club." It just signifies that the staff of Sythe are willing to place their trust in you to handle other people's trades. The suggestion that the application should be more difficult should not have anything to do that there are now a lot of OMMs; it should only be reflection of whether or not the OMM application is a good representation of trust.

So the question is: does the current application prove beyond enough doubt that the applicant is trustworthy? I think it does, personally.

In my opinion no, It's quite easy to get 30-40 MM trades, over the course of a month or 2.

That & active posting, getting yourself known to get a few vouches is easy.

Which means almost anyone can come onto sythe, in 3 months or so can receive OMM position, giving them the ability to scam massive.
There are regular MM's that get 100m+ trades so, Imagine an OMM.

People can spend 3 months, making small profits doing other things while building up their MM'ing trust. Which doesn't take too long.

I'm not 100% on how it all works, but that's how I see it. Feel free to point out / correct me on anything.

I don't support at all. If anything we should strive to have more OMM's. The more OMM's we have the less people there is being scammed. One of the points as an OMM is to make a decent profit, although I would think it would be more important to offer users a secure trade. It seems like more people now are resorting to using free middlemen I don't think your profits are dropping because of more OMM. Actually I only see a few OMM that are even active anymore. It seems like a large majority of OMM don't even bother middle manning anymore. I can only think of good reason to have more OMM, I can't think of any downside other than a little less profit really..

@ Scottay, I think what HHN was trying to get out of this is to get rid of the inactive OMM's.
So there are ONLY active OMM's (Which won't be that many)

    I think a reasonable amount of OMM's 5-10.
The reason I think that is so that OMM's get a reasonable amount of payment so they aren't wasting their time, No one wants to spend 1-2 hours doing work for maybe 5m. When they could have botted that much without any effort.

I understand both sides of this and I think that there should be a line drawn in between it.
There should be a nice amount of "active" OMM's to prevent scams.
There should also be a decent payment for the OMM's.

Which is why I think the applications should be harder, so people can have MORE trust in the OMM's.
Which makes them want to spend some money so they can trade safely without worrying.

Lol Hahanerd, no offense man but this is purely a selfish suggestion. The point of OMMs is not for them to obtain profit, it is for traders to complete safe trades. In an ideal environment, there would be more access to OMMs, as Scottay said.

My issue with the current OMM roster would be to remove the OMMs that aren't active, as they are more likely to scam (less attached to sythe and "addicted" to the community). Also, there are some who just aren't here anymore, and who have no plans to come back, like Nick.

If this suggestion were approved (which im sure it wouldn't be), it would expose great selfishness of the upper staff who are also OMMs.

It's not selfish, would you want to do hours of work for almost nothing?
He has a right to want to be paid a decent amount for the work that OMM's do.

I'm not going to re-type it all, but read the post before yours :p.
