Divine vs Elysian

I like the idea of the ely, as it doesn't use up any resources, though I really wouldn't know as i havent and probably will never own either

Apples and oranges buddy. The two items being compared before were similar in application, both were spirit shields and both served a similar function. Rocktails are high level food, easter eggs and pumpkins are technically edibles but were never intended to be used as food. Also there are limited quantities of easters/pumpkins, whereas rocktails are renewable.

Probably just getting trolled, that or you really do think that the price difference has nothing to do with the divine being better. Who knows.

Divine Spirit Shield for obvious reasons. I had much better experiences hybriding with a Divine then an Elysian. I have never bossed with an Elysian though as I always thought it was obsolete to a Divine.

The two shields are different, Elysian not having a prayer drain effect IS an advantage in certain situations

 

This is very debatable. In terms of value for money the Elysian wins but if you want performance than the divine is the best.

Although the Divine is a better item, it really burns a hole in your bank.

The elysian is also better for Barrows camping due to the fact that it doesn't eat prayer for a not much worse benefit.

 

So, basically many of you are saying the Divine would perform better overall, but are you actually willing to spend the extra time to earn the money for it, or would you just buy the Elysian?

 

Divine Spirit Shield has a higher damage reduction and a 100% chance to do it. The only negative thing I find on it is prayer reduction.

 

Buy Elysian now and when you get the money for Divine, upgrade to it?

 

Divine is easily the best shield. If you can't afford one then the Ely is good too, just not as good.

I would buy an Elysian and then use that to do some bossing towards the divine, and then sell it once you have enough money. They're both very good shields, but in my opinion the Divine is worth the extra time you'll spend getting cash for it.

Divine, because even though people say stuff like, oh divine is bad or training always drains your prayer, why are you even training with an ely/divine? you should be using things like defender and dfs for str and accuracy bonuses, only time you wanna use ely/div is for bossing and divine wins hands down.

 

I would get a divine instead of a ely, but I like the look of the ely more than the divine.

 

That's exactly what I did, so yes. I spent a good deal of time at bandos and tormented demons with an ely before I got enough moola to make the upgrade, and I never looked back or regretted the decision.

 

If you read my post, I said that elysian has it's advantages in a few things, but very little.

Zammy armour is a rare form of rune armour.
Your second and 3rd point doesn't make any sense what so ever and has nothing to do with any thing I've said.

Divine is the most expensive for a reason.
Just like why pernix is the most expensive nex set.

 

divine but ely looks more awesome

 

divine for pking and tanking ely for not tanking/staking/slaying etc, but ddef is good for slaying lol
